I sigh in frustration, causing some of the students to look at me with a judging look. It's thursday and violin class, and I'm trying to play a piece from Mozart, my favorite. But... It's not going too well. I take a long, deep breath, attempting to try one last time.

When I play the first note, it sounds much better. So does the second, third and four. "Finally", I think for myself... Until I play the fifth tone COMPLETELY wrong, even worse than before. I immediately stand up in frustration and irritation. The teacher looks at me with a confused look on his face and I walk up to him.

"Uhm... I have to go"

"What? Why?"

"... I don't feel well"

He nods at me and I leave my violin on a chair and leave the classroom with everyones' looks on me. 'This is so not like me...' I think, but for some reason I almost feel forced to do this. I've got to realize that I'm not here on this earth to play the violin like my mother wants me to. I want something else...

With large steps I walk out of the big classical building and turn towards the acoustic. Am I really doing this? Well, seems like I am. As I'm walking, Shane's words echoes inside my head.

"You may love it all you want, but you will never play with passion. But, yesterday when you sang, that was true passion"

Before I know it, I'm outside the acoustic building. What am I doing? Where did my sudden courage come from? Why-

"Ow! Watch where you're going" a blonde girl snaps at me as she walks right into me while I just stand there. I don't say anything and she walks off. Okay...

Inside the building, the atmosphere is completely different than in the classical building. It's a bit louder, but has got much more personality to it. The walls in the corridor are covered in posters of all from rock-to popstars. People are gathered everywhere, everyone belong somewhere.

Finally I see a door with the sign 'Principal' on it. I knock and a male voice inside tells me to come in.

"Hello, what can I do for you?" he asks and gestures for me to sit down.

"Hi, uhm... I would like to transfer from classical to acoustic, if that's possible"

The principal looks like a really nice man, about in his 50s. His golden brown eyes search the computer screen in a deep concentration, almost like I want to hold my breath to avoid disturbing him.

"Okay, looks like we have a spot for you here since another student transferred to another department" he smiles. "What's your name?"

"Kayla Smith" I answer and he nods. After a few seconds, he clears his throat.

"So, Kayla, I'm going to give you some papers to fill in and I want them back on monday, at the latest"

"Sounds good"

"Okay, do you have any questions?" he asks and I ponder... Do I really want to ask this question? Maybe he will start wondering if I'm an imposter or something...

"Uh, yeah... Do I need my parents' permission?"

"I understand. Well, since you're 18 you can decide for yourself" he smiles, but tilts forward over the desk. "But I would recommend you to at least tell them so they're aware"

"Thank you, mr..."

"Jones" he says, and I nod and walk out of his office. Right outside stands a certain blue haired girl with twinkling eyes.

"Omg! Kayla! What were you doing in thereee?" she smiles creepily and I chuckle.

"I'm hopefully transferring to acoustic by monday" I smile and she squeals while pulling me into a tight hug.

"Crystal... C-cant... Breathe...."

"Oh! I'm so sorry! Got a lil' too excited I guess" she giggles and I laugh at her childish behaviour.

She continues talking about how awesome it will be to have me in the same departure as her, while all I can think about is... How in the heaven am I going to persuade my mother that this is a good idea?
