"So, here it is" father says and sigh in relief as he puts down the two bags he's holding on the floor.

"Wow" I exclaim as I look around in the apartment. "It's even prettier than it was on the pictures"

"So, I hope it's okay that I stay over here for the night. I'll be gone before you wake up tomorrow, I promise" he smiles and I grin while giving him a long hug.

"I don't know, I usually wake up around 7 AM..." I say and we both laugh. "Thank you so much for this, father. You have no idea how much it means to me"

"I did nothing, darling. You were the one who got the record deal, not me" he smiles as we end the hug. "Go and pack up all your stuff and I'll start preparing dinner for us"

I nod with a smile before throwing all my bags over the shoulder and start looking for my room. When I've finally found it in the end of a hallway I release the bags and put them down on the floor. Finally, I'm home.

The morning after I wake up by the loud sound of my phone alarm. I happily jump up from the wide bed and grab the clothes I prepared yesterday. I'm meeting with Michael Rault at the record label and I can barely wait.

For once I decide to skip breakfast since I really don't want to run late on my first day. I have really no idea where the label is or how to get there as fast as possible. All I've got is the GPS on my phone and in worst case scenario Mason's just a phone call away.

I quickly look in the mirror before I walk out in the hall, put on some shoes and a jacket before walking out the door, locking it behind me. When I finally reach the door I open it, revealing cars and people everywhere I look. It's almost overwhelming.

I type in the address in the phone and hit the 'start' button. A blue path pops up in the map on the screen and I realise that the label isn't as far away from my apartment as I thought. I start walking and after only a few minutes I'm standing outside a tall skyscraper.

I walk into the reception, present myself and ask the man in the reception after Michael Rault. He nods and presses a few buttons on a phone to call Michael. In the meantime I turn around to take a look around the room; It kind of reminds me of the reception in the music academy back in Toronto.

Pictures of artists are decorating the white walls, only here several platinum records are proudly hanging beneath every artist on the pictures. A long hallway stretches far away from the room, with at least 10 doors on each side.

"Follow me, Kayla" the man, who's name is Nick according to his nameplate nailed to his shirt, says and gestures towards an elevator after only a few steps. We step inside the elevator and wait while it takes us several levels higher.

Eventually it stops and we step outside. A huge corridor with a high ceiling reveals itself in front of me, and I can feel my eyes widen in surprise. Nick chuckles and walk before me in a pretty fast pace, and I try my best to keep up.

We finally stop at the very end of the corridor, and Nick knocks on the door. A golden plate is nailed on the wall beside the door with Michael's name engraved in it.

"Send her in" Michael calls from inside the office and Nick opens the door. "Kayla, welcome"

"Thank you so much" I smile and sit down on the chair by his desk. He grabs a pen which he rolls between his fingers while focusing completely on me. I nervously place a stride of hair behind my ear, waiting for him to say something.

"We have big plans for you"
