Chapter 29: Bones

The whole haven has been very lenient these past few days, due to the problem at hand, which is darkness spreading, Adeline and more teens disappearing which are mostly Adeline's friends and the most vulnerable by the dark.

Lessons have been lessened, defense and magic was focused on more and we've been allowed to meet with our siblings and our parents but in my case, just my sibling.

Lily turns out to be the fine lining between me and Adeline and she was also very powerful, funny, Adeline was too early to do magic, I was too old to even figure out who I am while Liliane was just at the right time while still showing a lot of power.

My head spun as a mixture of noises once again filled the atmosphere. I sat on my bed and peeked outside my window but just in time, ducked it in to avoid a ball of fire from hitting me. Of course, there's another attack again.

"It's too early!" I shouted then Allie came in rubbing her eyes with her hand.

" I know, these attacks are getting way out of hand. I couldn't get enough sleep." She said throwing a pillow at me before disappearing to the bathroom.

I stood up and changed to comfortable clothing as well. I walked outside my room and saw Arabella in her house clothes,which is a sparkly silver dress, with her ballet flats.

"Bella,don't you think, that will get you caught in a branch or something?"I said zipping my hoodie up.

"I actually fight better with these o.."

"Guys hurry up, we need help here!" Megan bursted at the door looking like a mess.

We nodded then the three of us flew outside.

"We'll catch up, promise!" Allie's voice rang in my ear.

I shook my head when this girl jumped at my back. I grabbed her hands on my shoulder and twisted it before throwing her away. She came back a few seconds later, now face to face with me. She looks just like all of us, except there's this kind of aggressive look on her,there's something uncontrollable inside. She couldn't be a vampire since she's not wearing a complete body cover up. Yes, Adeline must have figured out some spell that helped the dark vampires bathe in the sun, just not for long, and that explains why the battle only lasts for an hour or so.

"What are you?" I said calmly showing no fear.

"Your worst nightmare." She said with a horrible smirk.

"Umm, I'm afraid my sister already got that part so who are you?" I smiled cheerfully because I want to annoy her.

"Shut up!" She screamed so loud that I think my ears got temporarily damaged.

I covered my ears then she rushed, attempting to choke me. I said the breathing spell just in time that allowed me to have air for as long as I want which I forgot, the day I ended the animators life. She put more and more pressure on my neck and even though I had no problem with my breathing, I felt pain on my flesh, it was sharp and searing,almost cutting my skin. I had to do something or she's gonna cut my head off like a chicken. I placed my hands on her wrist and let fire flow through it, but it had no effect so I had to use physical strength and pulled her off of my neck and as I grabbed her hand, I felt that it wasn't a hand at all. I looked at it and what I saw put me in horror.

"Bones."I said, sure that she can see fear clear in my eyes.

She grinned as she flew away from me then seconds later, she came plummeting down towards me, and what I saw reminded me of something,a comet.
