*Chapter Eleven*
(*‘-‘*) Annie's POV:
“We’d like to have roast beef as well please.” Raven informed the waiter that was currently taking our order. He already reserved a table for us located in the terrace on the second floor. It is an amazing location! The night wind blowing toward us is cool and comforting. There was also a mirrored wall in our side. I looked at my reflection and smiled in contentment. I love it. When we arrived, He extended my seat for me. Such a gentleman. We settled in our table and looked over at the menu. We decided to have barbecue as an appetizer, and we both agreed to have roast beef and baked tenderloin with lemon zest as the main course. We crossed out the side dish since both of us didn’t want to eat a lot tonight.
“Dessert, sir?” The waiter inquired. He was dressed nicely in a black vest with a bowtie. Everyone else did. We found out that it was a Victorian type of restaurant with all the beef and modernity. The place was decorated with classical ornaments and posters. Oh yes. The Glory of the Classic… and roast beef.
“What would you like, Annie?” Raven turned his head to me and smiled. His smile made me fluster with the menu and look up embarrassingly at the waiter.
“What would you like to recommend, sir?” I asked.
“I would suggest the Strawberry Jubilee. Bestseller in the house.” He smiled warmly at me with a hint of flirting in his eyes, much to Raven’s dismay. Raven cleared his throat out of the blue.
“Yes. We would love to have that. Thank you.” Raven said as he watched the waiter take the menu and left. Raven even eyed the waiter until he was out of sight. “I must admit. I didn’t like the way he kept on looking and smiling at you.” Raven said and looked down. I didn’t know he would get jealous and insecure.
“Raven… I’m having a date with you and not him.” I smiled at him and he blushed slightly at what I said. Oh, how cute!
“You know, Annie. I didn’t expect that you’d actually be here with me.” He started to confess with that same cute and goofy smile.
“What do you mean?” I cocked my head to the side.
“I’ve always wanted to hang out with you even before we met.” He looked up and continued, “I thought that you’d stay just as ‘that girl’ but then, here you are, right in front of me. I’m really, really happy. I might even be the happiest guy in the world right now.”
“That’s so sweet of you, Raven. I’m happy being here with you as well.” I admitted. You don’t know just how happy I am right now, Raven. Sweet lemons! If only you knew.
“Sweet!” Raven continued smiling at me, “So, an only child, huh?” He began the conversation.
“Yeah. I don’t mind though. Quest is like a sister to me.” Of course, she is. I even have thoughts that we really are sisters but got separated by birth.
“Oh, Quest. That girl that you are always with?” Raven asked thoughtfully. A lot of people can witness that since Quest and I are always together for most of the time.
“Yeah. I mentioned her to you last time when we were texting.” I spoke out. I mean, wait! I forgot! It wasn’t him!
