Cassandra woke up late in the morning, it made everyone in the house wonder why. Because she simply never woke up that late. "Good morning." She said her usual words every time it was the morning. "How come you woke up this late?" Jake asked as she saw her walked out of her room in the kitchen seat. "It's already ten in the morning, darling." Clarissa smiled.
"I was tired, mummy." She didn't think of other better reasons, but just hoped they believed her. "Tired of what?" She asked. "I... I was reading my book until I fell asleep." She said when she joined them in the kitchen, almost didn't think of that. "So, you're a bookworm now?" Jake raised his eyebrow, grinning. "Probably." She answered, flashing out her lovely smile.
"Eat bread. Drink milk, that will help you think later for your classes." Jake gave her the food. "Thank you, daddy." She rested her elbow on the table. She yawned before eating. "Seriously?" Her father once again raised his eyebrow, but this time, higher. "What?" Clarissa asked him. "Don't tell me you're still sleepy." He said. Cassandra shook her head, making him sigh of relief.
Sometimes, Jake just didn't want sleepyheads. And Cassandra could clearly understand it. When she finished her food, her parents accompanied her going to the Mullen's house for her classes. She had classes every day, with Andy as her classmate there, they were doing it in a small room with Vanessa being their teacher. And she seemed to enjoy being it, because she was the longest when everyone took turns teaching the two. They were taking simple and basic lessons, mostly, the lessons everyone needed and were applied in their daily lives. But, not the hard lessons humans take in their school, just like Vanessa.
Cassandra went inside the room all by herself, with Andy fidgeting in front of the table and Vanessa standing in front. They both gave their smiles to her, and of course, the jolly, young girl returned it. She sat beside Andy. "Hello." He whispered. "Hello, Andy." She nodded. "So, good morning to the both of you." She greeted. "How are you, cupcake?" She looked at Cassie.
"I'm great, Vanessa." She replied. "Good. How about your lessons? Are they all good? Anything hard there, just tell me everything." She told them. "Nope, alphabets are a piece of cake, mom." Andy laughed. "So, there's no problem at all. Oh, yes, what a relief. I love the both of you, guys." She sighed. "So, today I am going to teach you, Cassandra and Andy, how to add and subtract numbers." She sounded like a real teacher. "Mom, do we even need that in here? I mean, we're not even humans. And we're not living around humans." Even though Andy was young, he was thinking straight and was matured for his age.
"Alright, fine. What do you want to learn, then?" She asked after putting her head to her hand. "Colors, you didn't teach us colors yet. Isn't that right, Cassandra?" Andy looked at her. "Yeah, we don't know about that yet." She smiled. "So, the both of you agreed to learn about the different colors." She said, grabbed books from the shelf and distributed it to them.
"Do you know about the primary colors?"
"Yes, we do." He answered quickly. "Then, we'll learn about the secondary and tertiary colors." She opened the book, then showed it to them. "This is color blue-violet. This is simply combined with blue and violet. The name itself." She pointed a sample. They had questions, when the lesson got deeper and harder, later on. And the deeper they got, the more questions the students had. As Vanessa could see, the two are easy to teach and the most important, they are smart and special.
They had quizzes, and mini test. Sometimes, Cassandra answers first and sometimes, Andy. They were fair, though. They had their classes for two hours a day, and they really enjoyed it.
When it ended, the both were outside. "You were good a while back there." Andy commented. "Back in what?" She asked, having no guessed at all. "In our classes. You answer way quicker than me." He said. "Thanks." She replied.
"You know what, you won't believe what I'll say." She said when she decided to tell about what she saw yesterday night. "What?" He asked. "I just saw the galaxy." She looked at her friend. "What does it look like?" He asked. And she got surprised a little, because she expected for him not to believe her statement at all. "It's a big circle of stars, whirling." She said, adding an emphasis by turning her finger. "How beautiful is it?" He asked her. "It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Way more beautiful than the moon, believe it or not." She smirked. "Are you serious?" His eyes widened. "I thought the moon was. Isn't it when we saw it one night?" He was grinning. "I know. You wanna see it later?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Game is on, Cassandra. What time and where will we meet?"
"At exactly midnight, right in front of our house." She told him. "I'll meet you there, then. I'll be sneaking out." He smirked. "I'm excited to see you." He added. "Goodbye." She said, then began walking away. "See you later!" She now waved.
