Clarissa taught Jake how to take care of plants, since she got impressed by the beauty of the flowers the following day, though she and Chris didn't really had one in the human world. "Where'd you learned this stuff?" Jake curiously asked. "We had lessons about this. Why did you ask?" She asked as she watered the flowers. "I noticed you were good at this."
"Are you serious? It's actually my first time to garden!" She grinned. "Yes, I am." He smiled, then they sensed something, alerted them that their both heads looked at their surroundings. They thought it was something else, maybe another enemy, or an animal. But, they got relieved when it was just them, Billy, Chris, Cara, and the two couples, smiling at them.
"Looks like you two enjoy gardening much?" Cara grinned. "Yeah, maybe." Jake replied, grinning too. "How's your first day in there?" Vanessa asked, leaning closer to hug them. "It was great, Nessa." She answered, hugging her back.
"Anyway, what do you think of the swing and the slide we gave?" She added. Clarissa and Jake, exchanged glances, then after that, she looked at the playground. Her smile faded, and she didn't even know why. "I don't.. I don't really know what to say. But, why is these here?" She admitted what she felt, pointing at it quickly.
Also, everyone's good feeling faded suddenly. "I'm sorry. We should've removed that earlier." Vanessa apologized. "It's okay. None of us here know the next thing, right?" She said, trying to maintain her best friend's good feeling, somehow. "Billy and I worked hard building that, kid." Chris suddenly said. "I knew you were a good carpenter, dad." She beamed.
"I know. And that's what I expect for you to say."
"How are things working there? Is there anything that's broken or something?" Lucas asked, and she remembered he had a little knowledge on repairing things. "Oh, so far everything's working. Thanks." She replied.
"Can we visit the baby?" Clarissa asked Vanessa. "That's another purpose why we came. Good one." Lucas commented. "Then let's go and visit Andy." Clarissa cheered, excited that she even clapped her hands. The vampires left the house, and walked a few meters away. The two houses were near, anyway. Maybe just two big houses away from that.
They passed a few trees, then they were at their destination. Seeing Andy crawling on the floor when they entered the house. "Whoa, Andy's crawling?" Clarissa spoke first, then immediately carried the baby. "Yup. Time's so fast, isn't it?" Lucas replied.
"Totally. I can't even believe he grows up so fast." She said, gazing at the baby. He was smiling at her, one tooth showing. "I know right. He even consumes too much blood." Vanessa answered, walking towards a place. "How was the house, darling?" Elizabeth asked. "It was unbelievable, mom. How many days did you try to complete that house?"
"For a week. Or more than. I'm not sure." She replied as Clarissa joined her sitting. "All by yourselves, mom?" She asked, still couldn't believe it. "Well, that you don't have to know. That's supposed to be a secret." She grinned.
"What was your reaction?" She asked, but before that she looked around, seeing if someone else was close in the room, close enough to hear them. "Reaction to what?" She asked, playing the baby's hand. "Those things your dad and Billy built." She leaned closer, whispering. "Those playgrounds?" Then she nodded her head quickly. "I was shocked. What's happening? Why did you build those things?" Questions again started to fill her mind all at the same time. "I don't know. They're just expecting, really for an arrival after you go there in that place."
She let out a sigh, what they said earlier was true. And what she also said was true, they were expecting too much. "Anyway, speaking of that. What happened in your trip? I admit I did expect, too." She beamed, nodding. "Well, we tried. It just failed. Maybe it's not yet the time for me to have a child." She said, emphasizing the word by pronouncing it longer. "I agree. Maybe not yet. But, I wanna tell you. You have to have a child, Clarissa. I don't want to get old having no grandchild at all. Please."
"And I don't want Andy growing up having no playmate at all." Vanessa suddenly said as she walked then sat there, joining them. "Alright, okay. Let's stop. And just for you guys to know, we're trying."
"That's my girl." Elizabeth and Vanessa incredibly said at the same time. Then they all laughed, with Andy having another laugh. "Oh, he's laughing?" She giggled. "I want to spend the whole day with you, guys. With Andy. I think we're getting pretty close to each other." She smiled looking at Andy's perfect eyes. "Stay as long as you like, Clarissa. And come visit us whenever you like. It's free."
