They peeked through the window, no one was inside, and the people they wanted to see was visible through the window across. They could see they were talking, but everything was barely heard, words weren't clear at all.

They knelt there, waited for the time that the both was anticipating, they should be going inside the elder's house. No one even felt bored, excitement was just obvious in their faces. When everyone began occupying the house of the elder, and when no one was left outside, they planned to hide and just peek through the window. And so they travelled, didn't care whether the other villagers saw them or not. "What's the plan?" Andy whispered. "We're going to save Theresa. Get her away from my parents." She replied, leaning her head on the wooden house. "So, where's Theresa? We haven't seen her yet since we got here."

"I don't know. She might be inside. You'll be the lookout, Andy." She carefully lifted her head on the clear window, without any glass, she had seen them talking, the elder almost could see her peeking, since he was the only one who's face was facing the window. And the backs of all the remaining ones were just facing the window. She didn't focus on the conversation, she just cared about her friend's presence the time she peeked. It was the three of them inside, Theresa wasn't there.

"Is she there?" He asked. "No." She shook her head, and both of them had heard another voice talking, too, at the same time with Cassie. They saw Theresa. "Why are you here?" She repeated, knew that they didn't hear her. She was standing beside Andy. The both stood, talked to her. "Theresa, you have to come with us." Cassie told her, still catching her breath, recovering from the shock she had felt. "Why?" She asked, confused. "My parents. They're inside, and they came here to look for you."

"Look for me?" She repeated, still confused. "They came to kill you." Andy said straight to the point. Theresa didn't even get shocked, her face just frustrated. It made the two wonder. "Do you know this?" Andy asked, and he was cut by Cassie.

"Let's just go." She pulled her friend's hand, and she followed, not resisted. The three of them walked, but just in time, when they passed the front of the house, her parents were there, going out at the same time. Cassie immediately stopped, as if someone had pulled her whole body. "Cassie?" Clarissa looked differently at the three. "Why are you here?" She asked when a minute passed. She let go of her friend's hand. "We came to rescue Theresa, mom." She spoke. "What?" She murmured, and looked at Jake. "Wait, you heard our conversation yesterday?" Her father asked her. She sighed, then nodded.

"She's our friend. We can't let you kill her." Andy said, taking a step forward. "But, she's dangerous!" Clarissa raised her voice, she was totally eager to kill. "No, mom!" She blocked her friend by standing in front of her. "I know she had done such an awful thing to you in the past. She's changing, mom. Even though we've just met." She said, regretted herself for not saying the right words. She knows it didn't make sense, she was still going to be interrogated. "How do you know she's changing?"

"That girl might be acting." Jake said. Clarissa took a deep breath, took something out of her pocket. "I'm just going to kill her myself." She threateningly said, walking hardly on the ground towards Theresa. "Out of the way, Cassie!" She yelled.

She froze in place, she did not follow her mother, she did not move. Clarissa sighed of disappointment, went by the side of her, was accidentally hit somewhere on the shoulder that she fell. Clarissa pointed her knife to the head of Theresa. She was closing her eyes, she was almost crying. "Clarissa!" The elder suddenly yelled, went out of his house. "Stop that foolish thing!"

She sighed, put down the knife and kept it. "What do you think you're going to do, kill her?" He asked him angrily. She was just speechless, and so was everyone. "Just because Theresa is the daughter of Fiona and the mere fact that she let you feel her ability, that doesn't even mean that you are going to kill her." He emphasized the words, pronouncing it hardly.

"But, we can't trust her!" She defended. "Give her a chance! I know everything, Clarissa Mullen. Everything." He said. "What is so special with that girl that I can't even see?" She asked, turning her back. "Because she is my grandchild, too. And you two are cousins!" The elder sounded like he always wanted to utter those words, but it wasn't easy to.

Clarissa's eyes widened, as usual, just like everyone else standing there, she backed a few steps away, barely had her balance. Those words she heard, was presently painful, as if her heart was pierced by a sharp pin. She was full of questions, thoughts, invading her mind at the same time. "I understand how you feel, and I apologize for concealing it to you. I am your grandfather, and your mother is my child. Including Fiona. Now, please. Don't try to kill Theresa." The elder tried to comfort her.

"You're my niece." Theresa whispered to Cassie's ear. "You're my aunt, almost." She grinned. "Do you know this?" Andy asked as the adults tried to talk. "I clearly do." She replied.
