She looked back. Vanessa sighed wearily going back to her position. Clarissa looked around, gave her an impressible smile. Like it gave great light and hope to her. "Nessa, I finally understand. I'm so grateful I have you as my sister." She hugged her quickly.
"Yeah, I really hope that helped." She answered. "That's my girl." Lucas cheered. "There's just a faint chance that we'd win if we fight on our own without getting any help from a big group. Just like Fiona's." Vanessa added.
Cassie looked at Andy, who was just smiling. "Andy, are you afraid of death?" She curiously asked. "No, not really." Was all he answered, and refused to look at her.
A few seconds later, he looked finally. "How about you, aren't you afraid to die?" He raised an eyebrow, as if there was doubt in his feelings. "Of course not. If that's where fate is going to take us." She'd said honestly. He was giving a smile, both of them were as they watched the adults. "My friends and I say yes."
Fiona's words looked genuine. Of all the words she spoke, that were just the best. "Good choice, Fiona," the man begun clapping his hands, "This is now fair and square. Few versus many, but the few has a bit of advantage. Good." He commented. He looked at his group. "Initiate attack!" He commanded.
"But, where are your pack of wolves?" She chased asking that. "There are no wolves, Fiona. They're not coming." Clarissa almost snickered.
The fight had begun, with Fiona's army and the group of Clarissa fighting as one, at last. Somehow, the problem between the two had decreased. And indeed, it was the greatest battle of all time. The humans became the most violent, just like what their leader had told them. The vampires, on the other hand, had of course used their different abilities on them, even though they were humans and powerless. Putting that magic on them didn't really make them fall on the ground easily, of course there was always a challenge, had protective gears and some materials they've used to resist their magics.
Sometimes, the humans got a point winning, and sometimes, the vampires did also.
And now, the teenagers' effort to train each day had finally a good effect and use. Their fighting skills together were strong, making them almost invincible enough to defend themselves. There was always someone who died, always, but it wasn't important anymore who did. Desperation won, it only tells that it is the only such thing that everybody needed to win.
The fight even seemed like it took forever. But at least, the deaths of the two important people to Clarissa had finally a use, purpose.
