When it was the late afternoon, they were inside the house, Cara narrating how the death of her father happened. "Chris was walking alone in that night, alone, about to go inside the house. The reason's kind of complicated, it's practically hard for me to read and dig for the past. That time's quite long, but I'll just tell the most important things that happened before he died. The precise time when he was walking towards home, he was stabbed by bare hands—claws. He reacted, of course, but it was too late. Because the killer came hiding behind one of those trees, and the movements, looked so sudden and quick and was barely perceptible," Cara said, narrowing her eyes more, "Elizabeth is right, the one who murdered your father is Fiona. When she stabbed his back, he fought back, it happened for a short time, but in just a moment, he was defeated. Bled to death. This is too much, I can't read more, I'm sorry." She apologized, finally blinking her eyes after for five consecutive minutes. "It's brutal." She half-whispered. Cassie felt guilty, for not even trying to believe her best friend, Andy.
She knew she lacked credulity that time that Andy only had. She looked at him as he sat across her, telling she was sorry by only giving her sad looks, and he looked back, he smiled at her, and nodded. No one even responded nor spoke, they all kept silent. Went on being emotional mentally, but Clarissa and Elizabeth went not only mentally but also physically. They were both hugging each other as they cried. Cassie's face was just flowed by one tear as she listened to the story. How could Fiona be so ruthless, anyway? Soon when it was necessary for everyone to speak, Clarissa already turned red.
"Tomorrow, we'll be going to hunt for Fiona's body, and take revenge on her." She said hardly saying those words, and she was looking at no one, but it was obvious enough that she was talking to everyone in her seat. "But, how will we know their hide-out?" One of them said, Clarissa wasn't sure who's voice was it, simply she was looking at the floor, thinking deeply.
"We can get Theresa. Cassie and I." Andy suddenly said, raising his left hand as he fixed his back sitting beside Vanessa. Clarissa was caught smiling, but in an insulting way. She looked at him. "How unbelievable. You've maintained your good relationship to each other." She commented. Cassie immediately glared at her friend, then talked. "Andy! How sure are you if she wants to point out their hide-out? She hates her own mother, right?" She half-whispered, tried to maintain her low voice and not to raise it. "I know. But we have to try." He answered, nodding his head. "Do you mean that Theresa doesn't like her own mother?" Clarissa was heard asking with disbelief. She looked at her. "Yes, mom. She does, that's why she went to leave her." She grinned, now that just maybe, finally there was a little chance of hope and peace from her to Theresa.
"What if she's lying?" She raised an eyebrow to Cassie, and that broke her happiness a little. "What if not, mom? And besides, there is no evidence to prove that. She's been very kind to Andy and I. Very kind." She said, trying to give the best persuasive look ever. "You've been friends since then. By the first peek of the sun, go and talk to her." She ordered.
Cassie smiled at her mother. "We will try our best to convince her, mom." She told confidently.

The two friends had traveled all the way to the elder's village as soon as the sun showed up at the sky. And because of their limitless excitement, they intended to leave their home even before that time. But they were accompanied, and everyone's plan was that the two teenagers would meet them just outside the village. And when the two will be successful, they will altogether go to where the place Theresa will be pointing at. Secretly, together with Alex and his pack. They met and saw Theresa who just showed up behind the door and with the elder. They were about to go out of the house. "What brought you two in here?" She was grinning, happy to see them. They glanced at each other. "Could we talk?" Andy asked, wasn't sure where to start. "Certainly," she nodded stiffly. "What will be the talk all about?" She asked, and the two had really expected much, that the elder would hopefully leave them. It didn't matter anymore. "Could you point out the way?" Andy asked abruptly, suddenly made it direct, that made Cassie gave him a look. He laughed a little. "The way to what?" She raised her both eyebrows. "The way to your mom's place. We need to know it, like, right now." He sighed, put his hands inside his pockets. "What a surprise. Why do you have to know the place?" She found it amusing, making her grin.
Cassie felt that Andy nudged him in the arm, and he gestured his head, telling that she also had to talk. "I don't care whether you know this or not, I'll be just saying that my grand father had recently died this past night. He was murdered by your ruthless mother, Theresa. We had evidences, it was Cara. She told us how it happened, how he died, and he bled to death." She tried to make it as shortest as possible. Saying those words, her heart felt pain once again. Everyone saw that Theresa gasped, the elder just sighing. As if he really knew everything. "That's quite a tragedy, and I'm sorry. Have you came to seek vengeance to her?"
She was glad that she got the point. "That's actually our ultimate reason why we came, Theresa. I hope you understand how we all feel. And I know revenge is never good. But I think Clarissa, her mother, is really furious. Eager to kill her." Andy explained.
"I know, I understand. And, my mother's an absolute evil. She has to be killed for what she had done to you." She answered, somehow smiled. "I'll be going with you to point out the way." She told them. "I will come with you." The elder said.
As they walk escaping the village, Cassie felt a bit of wonder in her mind. Why the elder didn't even stop them, revenge is really never good. "Are you all prepared?" Theresa asked. "Yeah, we're all gonna meet them right there, outside this village." Cassie replied, pointing with her finger as they walk pass the villagers trying to greet the elder each time they walk pass a house.
"Hey, aren't you going to stop us?" Cassie found the perfect time to ask, when she got beside her. "Hmm? No, not anymore. I don't care." She shook her head wildly. "Why not? She's still your mother, you know. She took care of you when you were still a baby." She doubtfully said, smiling a little. "Of course, she did take care of me ever since. But, she didn't give time to me. For us to bond together, her time—was always ruling her slaves, telling them what to do to serve her. We never became close."
Her heart pitied her. "Well, honestly, I never liked what's gonna happen today. I'm afraid." Cassie told her, and now she could see the vampires waiting outside. They all met. And her mother smiled genuinely at her, she appreciated it. "Why is the elder coming with us?" Clarissa asked them.
"No. Don't ask, it is my choice to." He answered. "We'll proceed going to the west." Theresa raised her arm, pointing.
