They certainly had fun experimenting things, who wouldn't when you're discovering something quite unusual? They have tried doing their powers at the same time, could be called another training. Cassie turned her powers on, and so was Andy.
They tried how strong was Cassie's shield. She was trying to block Andy, who was also trying to move the garbage can. She was positioned beside the object, aggressiveness was in her eyes as he looked at him. Andy, on the other hand, was also gazing at her, but there was a great distance between them. The shield was on, all around her, but she was actually blocking the garbage can from Andy. She could sense he was doing his telekinesis, and it was clear that she was stronger.
Her shield was.
Now, it has been proven. She could block anything besides sounds. Andy gasped, she could tell because he covered his mouth after he found out that he couldn't move the object at all. He jogged towards her, grinning. "My gosh, Cassie." He said when he was a little bit near her, but still far. She was laughing. When the distance between the two was finally broken, he stared at Cassandra. "What?" She asked when she noticed that. "I'm speechless, I really am," he was shaking his head for a couple of times before continuing to speak, "I can't say anything. My jaw... it's just dropped. What are you, a goddess?" His eyebrows were still narrowed, the light of the sun shining down straight at the both of them. "A goddess?" She repeated, grinning.
"I don't know what's with our blood that gives us these kind of rare abilities." She shrugged her shoulders. "You should be contented, though. Yours is much strong, taking control over anything." She fixed her hair sidewards. "Yeah, that's a good fact. But, the question is, besides objects, could I control people, too?" He put his both hands to his hips. "Makes sense."
She walked farther him.
"Try me." She ordered him. He beamed, stood straight and went on to his powers. But before that, he rubbed his hands, and gave a sharp smirk. While waiting, Cassie took a deep breath. Felt slightly nervous, but not anxious. And while she did, she suddenly was pushed behind her for how many feet away. Like a strong, massive air pushed her. Her feet wasn't moving at all, but the ground felt slippery like it was a ground made of ice. Her heart immediately quickened, her reaction time fast that her hands moved, as if there was something beside her that she could hold on to, to save her life.
Her eyes certainly widened, her mouth fully opened, absolute shock was all around her face as she looked at Andy. Of course, her best friend looked at her, just gave a shrug as he did, felt surprise too. After that very short moment, the both of them were caught laughing, suddenly as they were looking at each other's jolly eyes when they were standing in front of each other.
"Those are incredible." Cassie gestured her head. "I'm definitely overwhelmed. We have extraordinary, equal powers, don't we?" He asked, his face still amazed by the big discovery. "I agree." She grinned. "We should be telling this to our parents." Cassie excitedly said, her eyebrows raising as she talked. "No," he quickly replied, "I mean, yeah. You should, but not me."
"What do you mean?" She curiously asked him. "I just want to keep this as a secret. I mean, we should be keeping that thing as a secret. No one should be knowing that I have an extraordinary ability." He told her, holding her hand tight. "What about Theresa? She has the right, you know. She's a close person to us, isn't she?" She confirmed. "Of course she is. No problem with that." He shook his head, then took a look at the sky. "It's afternoon. Still, the sun's up." He wondered. "It depends on the season, Andy." She informed. Stone-cold hands had suddenly held each other's shoulders. They have looked to see who it was.
Theresa, and she was grinning. "Oh jeez, your hands are like a dead man's." Andy murmured, cleaning his shoulder as if there was even dust. The girls laughed. "Oh, sorry for that, Dy." She replied, sometimes calls him in a short nickname she came up ever since they got close to each other. "It's fine." He said in a low voice. "It's like she had heard about what we talked about." Andy whispered very silently and carefully to his best friend, leaning his head. "What's up?" She asked. "The sky?" Andy joked.
Cassie rolled her eyes at him before talking. "Theresa, guess what?" She smirked. "What?" She frowned. "We have just found out that Andy has something incredible hidden in his hands." She grinned, even though her cheeks were already aching.
"Wow." Was all she whispered, put her elbow over Cassie's shoulder as she looked at Andy. "Yup, that's right."
"What kind of ability do you have?" She asked. "Cassandra called it 'telekinesis'. I don't even know where she thought of that word." He shrugged his shoulders, believed that his best friend just invented the word. She immediately reacted. "What, that's in the vocabulary." She defended. "Really? I haven't heard of that word yet." He folded his arms, still felt disbelieved.
"Well, you already know that I'm an uneducated vampire. Just has a bit knowledge about things." Theresa said quietly when the both of the friends were arguing. "You've been taught once." Cassie said, her statement sounding like more of an interrogation. "By Fiona." She continued. "Well, speaking of that name, I just wonder, why aren't you going back to your mother? Is she dead or something like that?" Andy suddenly asked. Theresa's eyebrows were narrowed as soon as she heard the word 'dead'. "Wow, she's obviously not dead. My mother would never die. And she would impossibly be defeated, if talking about her army of vamps. No, defeating her rarely happens." She said, her words were pronounced hard, she was mad.
"Really, she's that strong?" Andy asked, and that's what Cassie wanted to ask. But she was too shy to. "I don't know how to rate how strong she is. But, I do believe that Elizabeth is stronger than my mother. Like the elder has said."
"How many vampires does Fiona have?" Cassie's patience was finally cut off. "Maybe around fifties. I'm not certain because those vamps are just some of her friends and relatives. They all just know each other back there."
"So, they're basically her slaves?" Andy guessed, his eyebrow so high, obviously he was the one who reacted that much. He was full of questions. "Yes, exactly." She'd answered, nodding her head. Quickly after she finished replying, the two had gasped at the same time. "How's that happening, couldn't they even resist?" It was Cassie's turn to ask. "Obviously, they couldn't. But, of course, they have tried. They always had. But she was the queen, she was the one to obey. Fiona is the worst anyone will ever meet, like an endless nightmare. Like a curse." Cassie overthought about those words, imagined of too many things regarding the words like curse, and endless nightmare. She was hit with realization that she simply couldn't imagine that.
"I pity those vamps. I wonder how every day feels like to them, waking up and doing those usual things they do."
And now, she got it. The ultimate reason why Theresa was put there in the elder's village, she left her mother.
