The lions circled around the small city, having decided that it would be best to scare off the Galra then explain to the civilians what was going on.

I, of course, was still above everyone in the faster air current. Smoke and ash made me cough and my eyes sting. I kept sneezing because of ash getting up my nose.

"You okay, (Y/n)? You could always head back." Shiro suggested.

As an answer, I dove straight into a Galra ship and set it on fire. I felt my spine bristle as it twisted and fell into the lake. I turned and wrinkled my nose at the black lion, then spiralled down lower to the city. Many of the Galra were already retreating at the sight of the lions.

I landed in the centre of the city, sending many civilians stumbling back, staring at me in awe. There was a layer of smoke that had settled over the area, and a thin layer of ash on the ground. The Galra there tried blasting me with their gun things, but I sent them fleeing when I breathed flames. I snarled, then turned to see the towns leader right there under my wing. I gave him a grin. Well, the best one I could pull in dragon form.

The paladins came running up. They must've landed in the large park a little bit away. (It was kind of obvious 'cause giant metal cat heads rose above the houses)

Before I could change back and introduce myself and the five, I felt several things run into me and topple me over. I let out a growlish yelp of surprise, and shoved the things off of me, standing to my feet, quite disorientated.

"I HATE YOU SO MUCH!" A very familiar voice yelled, grabbing both of my horns that sprouted from my head and forced me to face them. They had yellowish skin and dark eyes, very humanoid. Grayson.

"YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE LIKE THAT!" Another familiar voice screamed, shoving the person off of me and grabbing me themselves. A purpleish skinned girl with greyish green eyes, also quite humanoid. Lucy.

I felt my wings relax, and the other paladins lowered their weapons. My tail swept the ashen ground, and stilled.

"DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE WERE!? SO WORRIED." The third shouted, shaking my wings. He'd somehow managed to find his way to my back. I tipped my wings and dumped him into the ground, sending a large cloud of ashes up. He had grey skin with freckles and sky blue eyes. Easton.

"YOU IDIOT! WE MISSED YOU!" One last person yelled, tacking me to the ground once more, sending up a larger cloud of ashes. He had an amberish tint to his skin and orange eyes to match. Blitz.

"TURN BACK! TURN BACK THIS INSTANT!" Lucy screamed. I saw tears in her eyes. I felt my heart flutter in a sickening way.

I was so stunned with their actions that my soul gave up with the dragon, and turned me back into a human. I was on the ground, with my friends surrounding me.

Lucy collapsed into me, and hugged me. She let out a sob, her fingers dug into my back. I hesitantly hugged her back, staring up at the others.

Blitz kneeled down and hugged me, then Greyson, then Easton. I sat there in my friends arms for a long while, before lowering my head onto Lucy's shoulder and breathed in a shaky breath.

Finally, Lucy let go, and the others followed her. She held my shoulders, her dazzling eyes reddish from crying. I looked up at her almost guiltily.

"You're back." She whispered, brushing some tears away from my cheek.

I nodded, and couldn't help but laugh. I pushed her hand away and rubbed the rest of my tears away.

"Yeah. I am." I breathed shakily, smiling like no tomorrow. "I'm back."

"Back from where, exactly?" Easton demanded.

"It's a long story." I said. "Right now..."

"Right now, you're coming with us." Grayson ordered, taking my arm and hoisting me up. Lucy quickly followed. I heard the paladins laugh.

"What? This is a kidnapping!" I exclaimed as they began to drag me off.

"Oh, shush." Blitz muttered.

"Excuse me!?" I yelled, kicking my feet. "You can't just ruin the moment like that!"

"And you can't just leave your flipping planet and send panic throughout the solar system and our five other neighbouring solar systems, either." Lucy retorted.

I fell silent.

"Suck on that." Easton said.

"Screw you!" I began kicking again. "Guys, seriously–"

"This is serious, (Y/n)!" Grayson snapped. "You have a new cousin."

And boom, the entire world exploded.

Not legitimately, I assure you.

"I HAVE A WHAT!?" I screeched. I sensed that the paladins were following along.

"Hey, who are they? The blue one's cute." Lucy said, glancing back at the five.

"Lay off, Lucy! They saved me! If you let me go, I'll explain." I said.

"Yeah, like hell you would." Easton muttered.

"Tell him to screw off for me." The goddess whispered. I heard the paladins chuckle. I remembered that they could still hear her.

"Nunarae tells you to screw off." I announced.

"Such a wonderful argument from the goddess of the afterlife." Lucy stated.

"Let me go! Please!" I yelled, kicking and struggling.

"Oh my gods just shut up and let us take you to your grandparents house." Blitz said.

"Anywhere but there!" I yelled.

They laughed like the evil Devils they were and dragged me off with the laughing Paladins behind us.

So much for a warm reunion.
