I fell once more into consciousness, and furrowed my eyebrows when I felt something suspiciously like arms wrapped around me.
I was upright, somewhat. Like the someone holding me was leaning against the wall.
I opened my eyes to see a grey shirt.
Logically, I screeched in surprise and flailed back, landing on the floor with a harsh thud. Ovra would be proud. (Goddess of logic)
"IN THE NAME OF NUNARAE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" I yelled, propping myself up on my elbows.
I heard Lance groan. "Five more minutes... Oh, wait. Good morning, sleeping beauty." He smiled down at me.
I rubbed the back of my head from my recent attack on the floor, and narrowed my eyes.
"You have ten seconds before I turn beast mode." I threatened.
Before he could make his escape, I heard thumping, and my door slid open. Come to think of it, why in the world was it unlocked?
"What's wrong?" Keith asked. Pidge and Hunk stood behind him. They were all wearing sleep wear. I realized that it must've been really early, if Keith wasn't up. Pidge had told me that he normally trained super early.
I shot an accusing glare at Lance. "Sir Lancelot here decided that it'd be nice to drop in for a visit."
"Lance!" They all said at the same time.
He gave them an innocent smile and shrug. "What? I was worried for her."
"Do you not think I didn't know that!? That's why I locked the door so you guys wouldn't bother me!" I hissed. I didn't want them coming in to make me more upset, that's what I was getting at.
He laughed nervously. Keith walked in and offered me a hand, which I gratefully took.
"Didn't wake up the other three, did I?" I rubbed my eyes, dropping Keith's hand.
"Allura and Coran are seemingly always awake." Pidge said.
"I don't know how they do it." Hunk complained.
"And Shiro?" I asked.
"He may be awake too. We never know with him." Lance said, and I shot him a glare.
"Alright, get out. All of you." I looked at them all, then added, "Hunk, Pidge, Keith, thanks for stopping me from murdering him."
"That's currently our job." Keith muttered, and dragged Lance from the room. I waved Pidge and Hunk goodbye, and the door hissed shut. I locked it as soon as I could.
"Why so loud? It's too early." Nunarae complained.
"I feel the same. I think something's up." I tended to have this unconscious ability to tell when something was wrong so I could wake up and be ready for it. That was another reason I got through the dumb floating purple prison.
"Ugh, this is dumb..." The goddess whined.
"Shut it.." I mumbled, slipping some new clothes on and out the door. The clothing consisted of a loose fitting black linen shirt and some jeans. I didn't even know they had the material for linen here.
I made my way from my room, after brushing my hair and whatnot, and towards the control room.
I rubbed my eyes and yawned upon entrance. I saw that only Coran was there.
"Oh, hello (Y/n)!" He said cheerfully in his odd accent.
"Hey, Coran. Where's the princess?" I looked around at all the glowy things. Jeez, these guys were flashy.
"She went off with the other paladin's to go yell at Lance. Are you okay?" He sounded genuinely concerned. Scratch that, he's Coran, the biggest cinnamon roll in existence. Next to Hunk, of course.
"Oh, yeah, fine. Just a little ticked. I'll have to punch him later." I made a mental note to do so.
"No worries. I'll remind you. Punch him for me too, will you?" Coran said.
I grinned. "So what's going on?"
He frowned. "It seems like we've been getting distress calls from a planet not too far from here. Come." He beckoned me over, and did something with a control panel. A huge array of planets and stars erupted in the room.
"Holy–"
"Language." Both Coran and Nunarae snapped at the same time.
"Here. This one." He pointed to a small looking planet that had a blinking red dot on it. "Allura says we should get going there really soon."
I nodded. "Um... How, exactly...?"
"Easy." A voice came from the doorway, and there I saw a very satisfied looking Allura. "Our palace also doubles as a ship. It was easier back then, and it'll be easier for us now."
"Huh. That's interesting. And also can't physically happen." I mumbled the last part.
"I agree." I could subconsciously feel Nunarae raise her hand.
"Oh, it can. Just you wait. We'll be setting off in a hour or so. We're just preparing for lift off." She explained.
"Oh." I know. Exciting commentary from my end. "Alright, then."
I looked back at the planet. A small name sat above it, so I was forced to lean in and squint to read it.
I had to double over. I almost passed out.
"Whoa, (Y/n)!" Allura quickly ran over and caught me.
"What is it? What's wrong?" Coran asked.
"Th-that's Ostairia." I stuttered.
"Yes. The one in trouble–"
"No, you don't understand." I cut Allura off. "That's one of the strongest bonds Echao has. I have some family there. I have friends there." My voice shook.
"We're rescheduling." Allura said suddenly. "We're leaving in five minutes."
A/n:
Nyello.
So, I wanted to share knowledge with you guys even if you don't bloody care. I know, I'm that nice. So, you put 'an' in front of vowels (a, e, i, o, u, sometimes y), and 'a' in front of consonants (basically the rest of the alphabet). For example:
He broke an arm. Vowel.
He broke a leg. Consonant.Promise me, this saved my life and sounds so much better.
Have a lovely day, my beautiful peeps.
