Derek pulls up in the parking lot seconds after Mr. Harris took Scott and Stiles inside the school. I get inside the car as he drives off not giving me a chance to put my seat belt on.

"Where are we going?" I asked. We passed my house a couple blocks back.

"Visiting my uncle. I need to see if he can help me." Derek says.

"Alright." Once we get to the nursing home we walk into his room. He was sitting in the wheelchair but facing a corner of the room. I usher Derek to go first as I follow closely behind. Derek turns his uncle around to face him as he sits on the bed.

"I need your help. If you can hear me, I need you to give me a sign. Blink. Raise a finger. Anything. Just - Just something to point me in the right direction, okay? Someone killed Laura. Your niece. Laura? Whoever he is, he's an Alpha now. But he's one without a pack. Which means he's not as strong. I can take him. But I have to find him first. Look, if you know something, just give me a sign. Is it one of us? Someone else make it out of the fire? Just give me anything. Blink. Raise a finger. Anything." Derek asked. Peter stayed completely still.

"Say something!" Derek snaps as he grabs on to his uncle.

"Let him go. You think after six years of this, yelling at him is going to get a response?" The nurse comes into the room. Derek stands up looking at her.

"Got a better method?" Derek says back to her.

"Patience. He'll respond if you give him the time." The nurse says.

"Its been six years. You would think you'd have any sort of progress." I scoffed.

"Some patients may have a slow development issues resulting to the accident they were in. Some heal faster and cope with things better where there is people like this that have a hard time." The nurse wrinkles up her nose.

"I don't have any more time." Derek grabs my hand leading me to the car. There was a piece of paper on it. He takes the paper off and looks at it. He looks around the place but found nothing out of the ordinary.

"What's it say?" I asked as we get inside the car. He takes off driving out of control.

"The spiral is on that animal." Derek says as he hands me the paper.

"I've heard about this. The sheriff asked Scott's boss about it." I read through the paper.

"Scott's boss? The guy they talked about in there?" Derek points at the paper.

"Deaton? Yeah, he is a veterinarian. You think he is the Alpha?" I asked.

"We'll see. That's where we are going."  Derek says. Once we got to the Animal Clinic we stayed in the car and waited for it to be closed. Deaton flipped the sign around proving they were closed. Derek and I get out of the car and walk inside the clinic.

"Scott, you're late again. I hope this isn't getting to be a habit." Deaton says. He turns around and sees us instead of Scott.

"Alexis." Deaton says. I open my mouth to speak but Derek cuts me off.

"No, don't talk to her. You talk to me." Derek steps forward.

"Can I help you?" Deaton looks at us but specifically at Derek.

"Hope so. Want to know about the animal you found with the spiral on its side?" Derek asked.

"Excuse me? What animal?" Deaton asked.

"Three months ago. The deer. You remember this?" Derek pulls out the paper and shows the deer to Deaton.

"Oh, yes. It's just a deer. And I didn't find it. They called me because they wanted to know if I'd ever seen anything like it." Deaton says uncomfortable. There was something else to it.
