As Scott and I got out of the office Scott takes off running out the door as he tries to get a glimpse of Isaac or try to speak to him. I was only speed walking behind him. I will never wear wedges ever again. Like before this whole wolf thing and my abilities thing happened I'm sure I would have rocked a pair of wedges. But now I'm just running around the entire place. No one takes time to walk anymore. No, let me rephrase that. We don't have time to walk anymore. I head out the doors as the sheriffs car drives off. I stand next to Scott as Isaac looks back at us.
"I'm sorry." I whispered knowing he could hear me. Scott turns back around to head inside the school. Derek pulls up in his black Camaro as I smile to myself. Scott turns back around and stands in front of me. Come on, are we seriously still on the protection possessive thing?
"Get in." Derek says. I move to the side and walk toward the car. I throw my bag in the back and press my lips to his.
"Hi baby." I smiled.
"Hey." He smiles back. His face hards as he looks over at Scott.
"Are you serious? You did that. That's your fault." Scott points in the direction of where the sheriff's car went.
"I know that. Now get in the car and help me." Derek sighs.
"No, I've got a better idea. I'm gonna call a lawyer. Because a lawyer might actually have a chance at getting him out before the moon goes up." Scott yells.
"As if you can find a lawyer." I snorted.
"Not when they do a real search of the house." Derek says.
"What do you mean?" Scott asked.
"Whatever Jackson said to the cops, what's in the house is worse. A lot worse." Derek opens the car door letting him in.
"You sit in the back, scotty." I tell him as he crawls to the back. I shut the door as Derek drives off. We pull up to Isaac's house as Derek hands us a couple of flashlights. We break in through the front door and look around.
"If Isaac didn't kill his father, who did?" Scott asked as he shines the flashlight all over the place.
"I don't know yet." Derek says as we walk around.
"Then how do you know he's telling the truth?" Scott asked.
"Because I trust my senses. And it's a combination of them. Not just your sense of smell." Derek looks at him with a cocked eyebrow. I laughed out loud as Scott turns around and glares at me.
"You saw the lacrosse thing today." Scott mumbles.
"Yeah." Derek says.
"Did it look that bad?" Scott looks at him a little embarrassed.
"Yeah." Derek clasped a hand on Scotts shoulder as he walks by.
"I wasn't quite sure what you were doing. Just being straight up weird but that's how you usually are." I shrug my shoulders following Derek to a door.
"You wanna learn? Let's start now." Derek opens the door ushering Scott to go in.
"What's down there?" Scott asked.
"Motive." Derek says plainly. I walk down next taking in the cluttered mess. It was a basement.
"And what am I looking for?" Scott asked as we reached floor level.
"Follow your senses." Derek tells him.
"What happened down here?" Scott asked as my eyes look at the ground. I bend down and trance my fingers over the nail marks.
"The kind of thing that leaves an impression." Derek's voice echos the room. Scott walks up to what seems to be a freezer. Derek comes down taking my hand and leading us to Scott. Scott turns around a little startled as Derek shines the flashlight.
"Open it." Derek tells him. Scott takes the lock off of the box opening it. It was an empty box with nail marks inside it.
"His father treated him like a caged animal." I shake my head. How could someone do that? Why would you treat your child that way?
"This is why he said yes to you." Scott states.
"Everyone wants power." Derek shrugs his shoulders.
"If we help you, then you have to stop. You can't just go around turning people into werewolves."
"I can if they're willing." Derek says.
"Did you tell Isaac about the Argents? About being hunted?" Scott asked.
"Yes, and he still asked." Derek nods his head.
"Then he's an idiot." Scott says.
"And you're the idiot dating Argent's daughter." Derek points out. Scott looks at him in a panicked expression.
"Yeah. I know your little secret. And if I know, how long do you think it's gonna take for them to find out? You saw what happens to an omega. With me, you learn how to use all of your senses. With me, you learn control. Even on a full moon." Derek says as he gets closer to Scott. Derek raises Scotts hand up letting his claws extend.
"If I'm with you, I lose her." Scott takes his hand back.
"You're gonna lose her anyway. You know that." Derek grabs my hand pulling me back to the stairs.
"Wait. I'm not part of your pack. But I want him out. He's my responsibility too." Scott tells him.
"Why? Because he's one of us?"
"Because he's innocent." Scott looks up at us. My phone rings.
"Stiles." I answer it.
"Argent sent one of his guys to kill Isaac." Stiles tells me. I push Derek toward the stairs.
"He wont get past the front desk." I tell him.
"He's in uniform. They have wolfsbane. Where are you? I'm coming to get you." Stiles asked. I could hear his jeeps engine.
"Isaac's house." I hang up the phone as we head to the front.
"You heard?" I turn to Derek as he nods his head. Stiles pulls up within seconds.
"Him too?" Stiles scoffed.
"Stop whining like a baby." I get into the jeep as Derek sits next to me.
"Drive." Derek says.
"Listen you can take your werewolf ass and," Stiles tries to speak.
"Stiles." I shout. He sighs dramatically as he drives off.
