"Mr. Lahey, Ms. Carson happy to have you back. Not happy that you're both late." Coach says.
"Sorry, coach." Isaac and I walk by coach. We were running late for morning practice.
"We're here now." I smiled as I place my bag next to Isaac. I walk into the office grabbing the clip boards.
"Late that is. Get changed." Coach points out. Even though I wasn't on the team I still had to participate in the activities as well as coach did. I felt like I was a coach as well. I went into his office and changed. I walk out of the office and straight to Isaac.
"I'll remind you all, cross-country is not optional for lacrosse players. I don't need you turning into a bunch of fat-asses in the off-season." Coach points at the players. I don't really understand what he's talking about. All the players were muscular and skinny. None of them were overweight.
"So work on that." He says. I place my bags in Isaac's locker. I swear, I could feel a pair of eyes staring of my body. It made me feel uncomfortable. I look around the locker room but nothing was out of the ordinary.
"Can I have your jacket?" I turn to face Isaac as he puts his tank top over his long sleeve.
"Yeah, are you ok? What's wrong?" He asked me as I grab his jacket sliding it on.
"I don't, I just don't feel comfortable right now. I feel like someone is looking at me." I whisper.
"Who?" Isaac asked as his eyes flashing yellow for a few seconds.
"I don't know. I don't like it that's for sure."
I head outside first and start to stretch. The rest of the players join me in a few stretches. I could feel someone's eyes on me again. More like two pair of eyes this time. I look around and see Isaac tying his shoe.
"Our goal is to catch up to Carson." Coach tells the players.
"Carson you got 2 minutes." I nod my head and take off running. I did enjoy running by myself. I could hear the whistle behind me but I kept going. I close my eyes listening to the birds when the wind passed by me head. It was so peaceful. So relaxing. Until I heard some rustling noises behind me. I shake my thoughts thinking they're catching up to me. Until it became Isaac grunting. I turn around and see a pair of twins holding Isaac down.
"Isaac!" I run back over just in time to see Scott punches one of them in the face breaking their jaw. I knew he broke their jaw because of the sound of the bone cracking. I run over to the boys raising my hands up throwing the other twin off of Isaac as Isaac rushes to his feet standing in front of me in a protective manner. The twins wolf out showing their fangs but not their eyes. Scott and Isaac show their eyes and their fangs as they extend their claws out. Before they could fight it out there was a scream. We all stop what we were doing and run down the hill seeing a young boy tied up against the tree. Blood was soaking his shirt and stained his neck.
"It's him, isn't it?" Isaac asked. A few seconds later the sheriff was pushing some kids out of the way.
"Hey, get out of the way. Get back. Get this area cordoned off before they trample every piece of evidence." The sheriff yells.
"Back up! Everyone back!" The deputy raises her hands up pushing the kids away.
"Get these kids out of here!" The sheriff shouts.
"Dad, just come here. Look, look. Look at it. It's the same as the others, you see?" Stiles points out on the body.
"Yeah, I see that. Do me a favor. Go back to school, yeah? Coach, can you give us a hand here?" Sheriff asked.
"You heard the man. Nothing to see here. Probably just some homeless kid." Coach says.
"Coach." Scott calls.
"Yeah?" Coach turns around and looks at Scott.
"He was a senior." Scott says.
"He wasn't on the team, was he?" coach sighs.
"Aaaaahh Kyle! Oh, God, Kyle! Oh, God!" A girl shouts and cries. The sheriff shoes us off as the four of us walk away.
"Did they see you use your abilities?" Scott asked me.
"No, I don't think so. They probably think I'm normal since Isaac pulled me behind him." I tell him.
"Lets keep it a secret. Just in case." Scott says.
"So I'll be helpless and have to rely on you guys?" I look at them wide eyed.
"Yes, look weak. Make you look human with no other ties other then your friends and boyfriend are werewolves. When the time comes when we need you they will least expect it." Stiles notes. I nod my head. That it a good theory.
"You see the way the twins looked at him?" Isaac asked.
"Yeah, you mean like they had no idea what happened?" Stiles says.
"No, no, they knew." Isaac shakes his head.
"The kid was strangled with a garrote, all right? Am I the only one recognizing the lack of "werewolfitude" in these murders?" Stiles says.
"Oh, you think it's a coincidence they turn up and then people start dying?" Isaac asked getting annoyed.
"Well, no, but I still don't think it's them."
"Scott, Alexis, how about you?" Isaac asked Scott and I.
"Im not really sure. I mean yeah, its not coincidence murders started happening when the twins showed up. But stiles is right about how this doesn't look like a werewolf kill. Werewolves slash throats, claws and bite marks." I shrug my shoulders as the boys nod their heads.
"Scott?" Stiles looks at him.
"I don't know yet." Scott answers.
"You don't know yet?" Stiles asked.
"Well, he's got a point. Seriously, dude, human sacrifices?" Scott looks at him as I roll my eyes. He is a flipping werewolf.
"Scott, your eyes turn into yellow glow sticks, okay? Hair literally grows from your cheeks and then will immediately disappear, and if I were to stab you right now, it would just magically heal, but you're telling me that you're having trouble grasping human sacrifices?" Stiles states.
"That's a good point too." Scott sighs.
"I don't care. They killed that kid, they killed the girl that saved me. I'm gonna kill them too." Isaac walks away from us.
"You wanna talk to him or am I?" Scott looks at me.
"Let me try. I'll let you know how it goes." I sighed as we head into the locker room. I got back inside the locker room and see Isaac changing back into his normal clothes. He had his pants and shoes on as he was getting ready to put the shirt on. I stopped him, my hands trail up his chest around his neck as my lips were softly placed onto his. He rest his hands on my hips as he spins us around and pins me on the locker.
"Better?" I look at him as he smirks.
"Im still gonna kill them." Isaac kisses my lips as he puts his shirt on.
"Stubborn ass." I glare at him. The other players walk in. I grab my stuff to change back.
"You talk to him." I say as I walk by Scott.
