"Scott!" I ran straight into him and wrap my arms around him.

"Lexy, you are ok?" He asked.

"Yeah, you?" I pull away.

"Something like that." He shrugs his shoulders. Jacksons car pulls up next to us. Jackson is Beacon Hills first class asshole. He was one of the popular guys in school. He was a jerk.
Jackson opens his car door hitting us then shuts it.

"Dude - watch the paint job." Jackson smirks.

"Watch your ass." I hissed.

"What?" Jackson asked taken back but boldly. Oh shit. No going back now.

"Someone might kick it." I wink at him daringly. He didn't scare me.

"Yo, Jackson, let's go, bro." Danny, one of the other lacrosse players calls him over. Jackson stares at me for a few seconds then walks over to the group of players.

"I already want to punch him in the throat." I glare at Jackson.

"Lets not get suspended on the first day back." Scott says as we walk over to Stiles.

"He starts it." I mumbled.

"Yeah, I know." Scott sighs.

"Okay, let's see this thing." Stiles rubs his hands together.

"See what?" I questioned.

"Scott got bit by an animal last night." Stiles laughs.

"Seriously?" I look at Scott. He nods his head and lifts his shirt up.

"Ooh!" Stiles exclaimed.

"Yeah. Whoa! It was too dark to see much, but I'm pretty sure it was a wolf." Scott says.

"A wolf bit you?" Stiles asked.

"Uh - huh." Scott hums. We start walking to the school.

"No, not a chance." Stiles shakes his head.

"I heard a wolf howling." Scott states.

"So did I." I shove my thumbs in my pocket.

"No, you didn't." Stiles says.

"What do you mean, no, we didn't? How do you know what we heard?" Scott asked. That is true. He wasn't there when everything went down.

"Because California doesn't have wolves, okay? Not in like 60 years." Stiles says as he steps out in front of from walking any further. I don't know if that is a true fact or not.

"Really?" Scott asked.

"Yes, really. There are no wolves in California."

"I heard and saw a wolf the night before. Last night I heard a wolf." I mumbled.

"Your imagination Lexy." He rolls his eyes.

"All right, well, if you don't believe me about the wolf, then you're definitely not gonna believe me about when I tell you I found the body." Scott smirks.

"Really?" I asked. No way.

"You - are you kidding me?" Stiles asked happily.

"No, man, I wish. I'm gonna have nightmares for a month."

"Oh, god, that is freakin' awesome. I mean, this is seriously gonna be the best thing that's happened to this town since - Since the birth of Lydia Martin. Hey, Lydia - You look - Like you're gonna ignore me. You're the cause of this, you know." Lydia walks past us into the school. I never had any hate toward Lydia but she dates Jackson. I don't see how she could date someone like that. She's only bringing herself down. Popularity level increases. Stiles has always had a crush on Lydia.

"Uh - huh." Scott hums as we walk into the school.

"Draggin' me down to your nerd depths. I'm a nerd by association. I've been scarlet - nerded by you. Especially you Lexy."

"Why me?" I asked as we head into our first class which was English.

"You are the biggest nerd of the group. You read books for fun. You do calculus when you're bored."

"They can be enjoyable." I shrug my shoulders and take a seat next to Scott and in front of Stiles.

"Psh, sure." Stiles laughs.

"As you all know, there indeed was a body found in the woods last night. And I am sure your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre scenarios as to what happened. But I am here to tell you that the police have a suspect in custody, which means you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus which is on your desk outlining this semester."

The teacher guy that I haven't payed much attention to writes on the board. I did pay attention to Scotty. His head was going all around the place spinning like a dreidel. Until it stays put staring out the window. Couldn't figure out what he was staring at until his faces the window across to the classroom door. Vice principle comes walking in with a young girl our age. New girl.

"Class, this is our new student, Allison Argent. Please do your best to make her feel welcome." Our vice-principal says. Vice principal walks out of the room and Allison sits in the seat right behind Scott. Scott turns around and holds up a pen out to her.

"Thanks." She smiles and takes the pen. Scott turns back around and smirks to hisself. I look back at this Allison chick who was staring down at the syllabus in confusion. How did he know she needed a pen?

"We'll begin with Kafka's Metamorphosis, on page 133." Our teacher says. I turn to the page he tells us to and yawn. Stiles throws an eraser at me. I reach back and take his pencil.

"Am I boring you, Carson?" The teacher asked.

"No sir." I answer. I could hear Stiles and Scott laughing quietly.

"Have you read this book before?" He asked.

"Yes sir. Its one of my favorites." I tell him as a few student talk among themselves. Great. I had to yawn. I had to open my mouth.

"Explain to the class what it is about." He sits down at the desk as I sat there quietly. I rather not.

"A traveling salesman, waking to find himself transformed into a large, insect-like creature. The cause of the transformation is never revealed, and Kafka himself never gave an explanation." I say.

"So you have followed up on this author and his other books?" The teacher asked.

"I have. The rest of Kafka's novella deals with the salesman attempts to adjust to his new condition as he deals with being burdensome to his parents and sister, who are horrified by the horrible, verminous creature the salesman has become."

"Excellent. That my students is how I want this year to go. Become interested and verbal about our lessons. I need you engaged and wanting to learn. Great job, Carson."

"Thank you, sir." Stiles throws a piece of paper at me. I turn around and throw his pencil.

We were getting ready to change classes. We head out into the hallway toward our lockers. Stiles and I walk over to Scott who was staring down the new girl. New girl, Lydia and Jackson were talking among themselves about a party. Of course they would invite new girl.

"Can someone tell me how new girl is here all of five minutes, and she's already hanging out with Lydia's clique?" A girl asked us. I'm terrible at names.

"Because she's hot. Beautiful people herd together." Stiles says.

"Wow." I huff out.

"What?" Stiles asked.

"You just called me ugly." I wrinkle up my nose.

"No, I didn't." Stiles says confusingly.

"Yes you did." The girl says as she walks away.

"How? Wait, oh. You are terrible." Stiles shakes his finger in my face.

"Took you long enough to get it. If Beautiful People herd around together. That means ugly people herd around together. Looks like you guys are making me look ugly."
