"I'm so sorry about the other day. I'm trying. We'll get through this. Uh, I know, because I love you. I love you more than,"
"What the hell?" I asked sitting down next to the two dummies.
"Oh, my God. I can't - You and Allison just have to find a better way to communicate." Stiles scoffs.
"Come on, you're the only one that we can trust. Lexy has to deal with Derek. Is she coming to the game tonight?" Scott asked.
"Yes! Okay, message complete. Now, tell me about your boss?" Stiles says.
"He thinks that Allison's family keeps some kind of, uh, records of all the things that they've hunted. Like a book." Scott tells us.
"He probably means a bestiary." Stiles sighs.
"What?" Scott asked puzzled.
"A bestiary." Stiles repeats.
"I think you mean bestiality."
"Nope, pretty sure I don't. It's like an encyclopedia of mythical creatures." Stiles says.
"Grand has a few at her house but they are only about us, Guardians." I tell them.
"That doesn't help us but good try. How am I the only one who doesn't know anything about this stuff." Scott asked.
"Okay, you're my best friend, you're a creature of the night, it's kind of like a priority of mine." Stiles says.
"Okay. If we can find it, and it can tell us what this thing is,"
"And who." Stiles finishes for him.
"We need that book!" Scott and Stiles say in sync.
"Wow, your practically twins." I say sarcastically.
"Shush." Stiles says. Scott and I head to the lockers as Stiles went to get info from Allison.
"Yes. Seen her grandfather. With a book like that." Stiles says as he rest against the locker.
"Alright where does he keep it?" I asked. He takes off running again.
"I don't think I've seen him run that fast. Not even in lacrosse." We watch stiles slam against the locker.
"No kidding." I laughed.
"She says. Has to be. Office." Stiles breathes out. We continued classes as normal getting ready for the game.
As the game officially starts the other team had a enormous player. He looked to be as a grown adult. He knocked out one of our players.
"Come on, is that thing even a teenager? I wanna see a birth certificate. Who or what is that genetic experiment gone wrong?" Coach yells.
"Eddie Abramovitz, Coach. They call him The Abomination." Stiles tells him.
"Oh, that's cute." Coach mutters.
"Alright, go now and get the book." I give Stiles a light push as he takes off running. Danny falls to the ground as the referee blows the whistle. He sits up confused as down as coach and I grabbed him and set him on the bench.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" Coach asked him. He held up two fingers.
"Four." Danny replies.
"Concussion." I look at Coach.
"Say two." Coach tells him.
"Two." Danny repeats.
"Perfect, get out there, come on. Get out there and have a stick." Coach sends Danny out on the field throwing him a stick.
"We're still short one player, Coach." A lacrosse player tells coach as he grits his teeth.
"Where's Stilinski? Where's Stilinski?" Coach looks at me.
"Bathroom." I say quickly. What can be anything else important than the semi finals.
"You! You! You play lacrosse?" Coach points in the crowd over at Boyd and Erica.
"I advise you not to let him play." I tell coach.
"He goes to Beacon Hills. He'll be fine." Coach waves it off as Boyd stands up taking his jackets off.
"Oh, ha, ha, ha! We got ourselves a player!" Coach cheers. He throws Boyd the uniform as he quickly changes and runs on the field. Scott looks at me as I shrug my shoulders. Hopefully It won't be that bad. Boyd shoves the giant from the opposite team down to the ground. I spoke too soon.
"The bigger they are - The bigger they are!" Coach cheers as I clap lightly. Boyd turns around as I see his yellow eyes.
"Scott, Boyd's eyes are glowing." I whisper. Scott's head jerks toward Boyd. As they continue the play Scott goes up to Boyd. They talk for a bit as another play begins.
"Get it to McCall! Get it to McCall!" Coach yells. Scott gets the ball scoring a goal as I stand up from the bench and cheer. The giant from the other team knocks Scott down. His leg was bent in a wrong way. I get up and run straight to Scott as Allison meets me there.
"I'm fine, I'm healing, it's okay. The book?" Scott asked.
"It's not in his office, it's gotta be at the house. Let's look at your leg. Oh, my God, your leg is broken." Allison helps him sit up.
"Here comes people." I warn him.
"Not for long." Scott straightens his leg out.
"Don't move." Coach tells us.
"Scott." Mama McCall runs over.
"It's okay. It's okay. I'm fine. I'm fine." Scott stands up. Wolfy healing powers.
"I could have sworn I literally heard bone breaking from where I sat." Mama McCall says.
"Scott seems fine." I point out. Literally.
"Heard it? I felt it." Coach comments.
"Seriously, guys, I'm - I'm fine." Scott assures them.
"We should go." Allison grabs hold of Gerard.
"Hold on. I want to ask him one more thing." Gerard says. Oh god. My eyes dart to Scott as he panics.
"Wanna join us for dinner?" Gerard grins.
"Of course, sir." Scott smiles.
after the game ended I collected all the lacrosse equipment and go down to the locker room with Scott. Scott changes to his regular wear as I finish up putting stuff away.
"Where is Stiles?" Scott asked.
"I don't know. Last I heard he was looking in the office for the book. He hasn't came back yet. I'll go look for him." I tell him.
"Alright, be careful." Scott hugs me.
"You too. Going over to the secret girlfriends house full of werewolf hunters." I chuckled.
"Haha. Funny." Scott says
"Seriously. Be safe." I let go of him. I call Stiles phone but it went to voicemail.
"Stiles, Its Lexy. Game is over and Scott is heading over to the Argent house. Hopefully he'll have better luck there. Call me back." I hang up the phone. Something didn't seem right to me. After locking away the sticks up I call Stiles again.
"Stiles, where are you? Call me." I hang up the phone. Where is he?
