"Don't worry, he's not gonna have it easy tonight either. None of us will. There's a price you pay for this kind of power. You get the ability to heal, but tonight you're gonna want to kill anything you can find." I could hear Derek's voice echo. I stayed where I was til they were done talking.
"Good thing I had my period last week, then." Erica's voice chimed in.
"Well, this one's for you." Derek says. I peak around the corner and see him holding up a headband with screws in it.
"You guys getting kinky without me?" I step out of the shadows walking over to the group. Isaac was holding on to a chain harness.
"That looks fun." I wink.
"What are you doing here?" Derek asked.
"I'm helping with the betas." I stand between him and Isaac.
"No way. Go back to Scott." Derek shakes his head.
"Scott can take care of himself. You can deny it all you want but you're gonna need me." I take off my leather jacket. He knew I wasn't going to leave.
"Wait, you have the triskele too. Why is that?" Boyd points at my chest.
"As a Guardian our minds imprint on certain people that mean something to us. So does our bodies. Kind of like a tattoo but we call them marks. The triskele is for Derek. The wolf is for Scott. The key is for Stiles." I point at the marks.
"Lets get them set up." Derek says as we head into the train. I start to chain Boyd up.
"What if we break free?" Boyd asked.
"Then you'll do anything you can to get out of here. Probably try to kill me, kill Alexis, then kill each other and kill anything else with a heartbeat. I need you to hold her." Derek says as Isaac holds Erica from behind.
"So how come she gets to wear the headband?" Isaac asked gesturing to Erica.
"Because she'll be able to withstand more pain than the two of you. I've got an extra one if you really want it." Derek suggested.
"I'll pass." Isaac gulped.
"You ready?" Derek asked Erica.
"Yeah." She nods her head. Derek places the headband on Erica. He then starts screwing it in as she screams in pain.
"Alexis make sure we are secured." Derek says. I get up out of the train from the screaming. Doors looked secured. I piled a couple of items against the door so if the betas get out they will have to move the objects. The screaming became less painful but more anger. It was starting. I head back to the train and see Boyd and Erica pulling on the chains.
"Derek." I look at the betas as they were wolfed out.
"I know." He says.
"How do you not feel this?" Isaac asked. I walk over to them as Derek was chaining him up.
"I feel every second of it." Derek says.
"Then how do you control it?" Isaac throws his head back. I can tell he is trying to hold it back.
"Find an anchor. Something meaningful to you. Bind yourself to it. Keep the human side in control." Derek tells him.
"What is it for you?" Isaac grits his teeth.
"Anger. But it doesn't have to be that for everybody."
"You mean Scott?" Derek and I both look at Isaac.
"Yeah." Derek sighs.
"What about you?" Isaac turns to me.
"Full moon doesn't effect me. I keep an eye on Scott but he is the least of my worries tonight. I know he can handle himself now."
"All right, that should do it." Derek says as he pull on the chain to see if it was secured. It came undone. Derek looks at Isaac, to me then to the rest of his betas. This won't hold. Derek grabs my arm as we head out of the train. He pulls out his phone and dials a number.
"Scott, can you call me back? I'm probably gonna need some help." Derek hangs up the phone.
"Definitely gonna need some help." He cracks neck facing the train.
"Told you so. Voicemail?" I asked cracking my knuckles.
"Yep." Derek extended his claws.
"Create a shield around the train. Stay here." He walks toward the train.
"Derek don't." He walks inside the train. He just walked to his death. I could hear the werewolves growling and howling. I kept my shield up.
"Isaac!" Derek yells. I drop my shield then Isaac comes right through the train window. He shoves me on the ground and climbs on top. I didn't want to hurt him. I couldn't.
"You won't hurt me." I gasped. I look at him in the eyes. His were glowing yellow. He takes one of his claws tracing it down my jawline.
"Isaac." Isaac looks at me. My eyes glow purple as he frowns slightly. He takes his claw off of me. His lips pressed against mine. I didn't know if should pull away or go with it. By the time I could have decided he pulled away and got up. I watched him carefully. He runs back into the train as I see him helping Derek. I lay there on the ground. What just happened? Did I change his mind? The roaring and growling stop.
"Alexis." Derek runs over to me.
"Im alive." I sit up and look at him. His shirt was torn up and stained with blood. Isaac was leaning against the train door frame. He nods his head to me as I nod my head back. Derek grabs Isaac and sits him down in one of the seats as I go over to the other betas. I chain them up and walk over to Isaac sitting right next to him. His eyes were still glowing yellow and was wolfed out but calm.
"Think you'll be okay now. Looks like you found an anchor." Derek says as he puts the chains on Isaac.
"My father." Isaac says as he faced forward. Wow, really?
"Your father locked you in a freezer in the basement to punish you." Derek states.
"He didn't use to." Isaac says quietly. Derek gets up and walks out of the train. I reach over and grab Isaac's hand. Even though his claws were still out I trusted him.
"Im sorry for earlier." He says.
"Im not." I replied back. He tightens his grip on my hand. I went to leave but Isaac grabs my hand and sits me back down.
"Stay." Isaac looks at me as he turns back to normal. I didn't know if I should or not. Whether I should call Scott and check up on him. Hell, this was Derek's place and I didn't want to spend that much time here. I wasn't doing this for Derek. I was doing it for his betas.
"Okay." I nod my head. I rest my head on his shoulder as his hand still held mine.
