Honestly, I love the game undertale so much but recently and almost always, the fans drove me away from it. Yet it won't prevent me from finishing this book of corse. I take inspiration from the source material, as almost all other sources seem to water down the character so so much which saddens me. This is why I'm calling people out on this.

I know not all fans are like this but sadly the majority is, so I'm here to hopefully correct some fans on lots of mistakes I've heard around.

1: watering down characters; [sans is not a bloody typical anime boy character]
I seem to see this portray a lot in different AUs where they water down the character's original personality so much, it isn't the lovable character anymore, heck, it rarely has any characteristics. Here's a few good examples:

and here's what I mean by anime boy; they're all doing anime people stances and acting peppy, while recalling back to the original material; he's always more chill, funny and junk

Heck, it's canon that he itches his boney ass in public, that's like the definition of sleazy. Not saying that alternate universes need to stick to the original material, but they need to show some sort of notable characteristics, not average anime boy characteristics. Which leads me onto my next issues

2: undertale AUs are becoming rather bland, or dull. I'm sorry but, I just don't entirely get underswap. You're just switching the characteristics around. What makes it different? How come people find underswap sans to be cuter than papyrus if they should have the same mind sets? Is it because they're smaller? And underfell just seems like an edgy version of undertale. But not saying that all undertale AUs are bad, i kind of liked the idea in flowerfell where whenever they'd die they got a flower, or horrortale and they way they got that through in the point and click game. And yes even mafia tale is kind of bland for just making them mafia, yet if you change things around like how I came up, how this was the aftermath of the original game, and seeing how those characters actually changed though a character arc, it brings more life and spice to it.
