Chapter 7, Cade

Katherine was finally dead. Stefan and Damon dragged her body across the carpet and wrapped her in blankets, Stefan looked like he was going to cry and Damon on the other hand didn't feel a thing, Elena pondered around the room looking around all the time. Caroline sat down next to Tyler and watched Katherine's dead body being put in the Salvatore cellar. And then that was the last they saw of Katherine pierce.. Or was it

Stefan and Damon went down to the Salvatore cellar and put Katherine's lifeless body in there, locked the door and walked away. Minutes later Katherine's spirit rose into the air floating up and she discovered herself in a blue dark cold place, she wandered around and then saw her worst nightmare. Cade

"Katherine.. you came back to me" he hesitated

"I didn't have a choice" Katherine murmured

"Yes you did, Katherine would you stay alive or would you rather feed on souls of the damned?" Cade asked Katherine

"I died for my friend, it was a selfless thing to do!" Katherine shouted

"Don't you remember our deal!?" Cade snapped

"Of course I do! But it's wrong, I did bad things what do you expect me to say? I'm sorry? I'm not!" Katherine objected

"And this is why this journey will be interesting, I think we should look back at how you was in 1864 don't you?"'Cade challenged Katherine

"Go ahead, I have nothing to hide" Katherine muttered

Katherine and Cade travelled to a place in Monterey, the place her family were killed, Katherine looked around and they walked into the cottage, it hadn't been cleaned, there was blood stains on the wall and the floor boards were covered in blood, furniture was broken in pieces and more blood was splattered around. Katherine realised where she was after taking a look and Cade smirked widely

"Why are we here?"' Katherine questioned

"Don't you remember? This is where you're family died including you" Cade replied

"I know, but what does this have to do with my hell?" Katherine questioned again

"It's not you're hell Katerina, it's you're soul, back here you was an innocent young little girl who had a baby girl, don't you remember?" Cade questioned

"Yes I remember.. Her name was Nadia Petrova.." Katherine paused

"That's right, and you gave a poor little baby away, think how that child would of grown up asking for her mother and you wasn't there" Cade snarled

"She was taken away from me!! I loved her!!" Katherine yelled

"No you didn't, you were forced to love her" Cade denied

"She was my flesh and blood, I loved her so don't you dare ever say I didn't" Katherine growled

"Take a look at this" Cade showed Katherine a memory

It was 1864 when Katherine arrived in Mystic falls at the salvatore's house, her daughter was in the woods fighting for survival, Katherine looked closely as she saw her daughter growing up, she saw that Nadia whimpered each night and prayed for Katherine to come back home, A tear shed Katherine's eye as she watched Nadia scared and petrified and alone. Cade watched Katherine's reaction and then switched the flashbacks off just leaving them in the bloody stained cottage.

"Why did you show me that?" Katherine cried

"To show you while you was living an amazing life with two boys fighting over you, you're own flesh and blood slept in the woods every night praying for her mother to come home, you're selfish katerina, Nadia knew that as well but she still had hope for you and when she died that was the only time you ever proved to be a good mother" Cade explained
