Damon pulled up outside brees bar and walked in to see it empty, he sat at the bar and saw the bartender, Jackson. He poured Damon a strong bourbon and pushed it towards him, Damon downed it and drowned his sorrows into more and more until he eventually spilled out his feelings.
"Why you here then buddy?" Jackson asked
"I fell in love with a girl.. She's beautiful, her names Elena" Damon frowned
"The one that looks like Katherine Pierce who got drunk here last time?" Jackson asked
"Yeah that's her.." Damon paused
"What happened?" Jackson asked
"She's marrying Stefan" Damon frowned
"Ouch that's bound to hurt, does she love you?" Jackson asked
"Yeah.. But she loves Stefan too" Damon snarled
"You have to get her back, don't run away, if she's getting married in a few days" Jackson smiled
"I left her tonight, I can't go back" Damon sighed
"Yes you can" Jackson smiled
"Can I just stay here for a few days, I'll go back for the wedding.." Damon paused
"Okay, make yourself at home" Jackson grinned
"Thanks buddy" Damon smiled
Elena and Stefan were sat at the kitchen table with Everyone else, Elena sat silent and stared at her plate and played with her food. Stefan glanced over and saw how hurt she looked and hugged her, she didn't hug him back she just smiled faintly and continued staring at the plate of toast.
"Elena, do you want some coffee?" Elijah asked
"N..no Thankyou" Elena stumbled
"Where's Damon?" Kol asked
"He left.. Last night" Elena paused
"Why?" Finn asked
"Ask Stefan, I'm sure he knows" Elena sighed and walked off
She walked off to Damon's room and locked the door, she saw a letter from a man named Jackson and dialled the number, a man answered and Elena realised it was Jackson from brees bar from a few years ago, she smiled and began.
"Hi Jackson" Elena smiled
"Elena?" He asked
"It's me" Elena chuckled
"Hi! How are you doing?" Jackson asked
"I'm okay.. Is Damon with you?" Elena asked
"Yeah he is.." Jackson paused
"Can I speak to him?" Elena asked
"Of course" Jackson grinned
"Thank you" Elena frowned
"Hello?" Damon asked
"Damon..." Elena paused
"Elena?" Damon asked
"I'm sorry, please come home" Elena pleaded
"Elena I can't, home isn't that safe house, home was mystic falls and we can't go back there. You're getting married in a few days stop worrying about me" Damon sighed
"Please come to the wedding.." Elena paused
"To see the girl I love marry my brother? That sounds fun" Damon sarcastically mumbled
