Chapter 27, Bring me home

Bonnie and Enzo walked outside as it got dark and he wrapped one of Elena's shawls around her, Enzo held bonnie tightly and they looked up at the stars, he put his arms around her waist as she knotted her pendant around her fingers.

"Bonnie bennett, You are the greatest gift I've ever wanted" Enzo smiled

"I love you Enzo" she whispered

"I love you too bon" he mumbled

"We will be home soon won't we?" Bonnie asked

"I'll find a way love.. I won't let you down" Enzo frowned

"What are we going to do about Caroline, she's not going to turn on her humanity anytime soon" Bonnie sighed

"There isn't anything we can do except bring her to see lizzie and josie and make them remind her" Enzo smiled faintly

"And what if she hurts them?" Bonnie asked

"Don't worry love i'll sort it, we just need to summon the devil first" Enzo sighed

"What does Cade want with us Enzo?" Bonnie asked

"Servants to bring him supper, i don't know what hes up to but Elena has gone after Stefan and a human Damon" Enzo whispered

"Human?!" Bonnie shrieked

"Yes..." Enzo paused

"How did that happen!?" Bonnie asked

"The ancestors probably" Enzo mumbled

"What would they want with Damon?" Bonnie asked and raised her eyebrows

"I haven't got a clue but I'll find out, I promise" Enzo smiled

"Enzo I want to come home, I don't want this the lives we have right now" Bonnie frowned

"Me neither, Cade is getting on my last nerve" Enzo sighed

"We need to get Elena home.. now" Bonnie stated

Elena watched behind the bush, It was Damon, she couldn't believe her eyes, Stefan never told her where he was and now she had fount out, Stefan walked inside and the door slammed shut, Elena went round the back and then listened into their conversation.

"How's Elena?" Damon asked

"Not good, she is confused and determined to find you" Stefan sighed

"You didn't tell her?" Damon asked

"Tell her that her estranged lover is on the run because everyone wants to kill him? No i didn't" Stefan grunted

Elena fell against the window and slashed the left side of her leg open, she yelped in pain as blood poured out, Damon and Stefan glanced around and ran outside and saw Elena on the ground with blood smeared on the walls and on the ground.

"Elena?" Stefan asked

"Owww Stefan it hurts" Elena cried

"What are you doing here?" Stefan asked

"I.. i followed you" Elena cried and looked at her wound

"Let me see" Damon ordered and bent down to observe it

"Damon its blood... why isn't you're face changing?" Elena asked

"Its a deep wound, you need a bandage and cold water" Damon observed

"Damon why hasn't you're face changed?!" Elena asked and raised her voice

"I'll tell you soon but right now we need to sort this out before you bleed out anymore" Damon sighed

"Elena wrap this around it" Stefan frowned and handed her a whole bandage on a roll

"Damon.. don't keep anymore secrets from me!" Elena shouted

"I'm human Elena! I'm human..." Damon paused

"What... but how??" Elena asked as Damon wrapped the bandage around her leg

"I got in an accident and then i woke up as a human" Damon sighed

"So why are you running?" Elena asked

"I have enemies everywhere cause i pissed a lot of people off back in the day mostly women"  Damon smirked and sarcastically raised his voice

"This reunion is very touching but Elena we're going home" Stefan ordered

"No" she shook her head

"Elena... go home.. please" Damon pleaded

"You think you can get rid of me without an explanation!?" Elena asked furiously

"Elena go home" Damon ordered

"You never loved me and you never cared about me, I get it Damon, go live you're happy life here with as many women as you want cause you compel people to love you because nobody loves you!! And when someone does you push them away, i'm going now"

Elena shouted and limped to the car got in and slammed the door shut and sat in the back. She had tears streaming down her cheeks and made them all wet and puffy and then she held her locket in her right hand and held it close to her chest. Stefan got up and Damon went back inside and closed the door and Stefan got back in the car and drove off with Elena in the back. They arrived back to the safe house and Elena ran past Bonnie and enzo and upstairs and locked her door shut, Stefan sighed and went up to Katherine who was drinking wine.

"Need a glass?" She asked and offered him one full of red wine

"Yeah.. please" Stefan sighed and took the glass

"What happened? Did the perfect couple fight?" Katherine asked

"She saw Damon and fount out that he was human and couldn't come home.. she didn't take it well" Stefan frowned

"She's got the petrova fire in her, she'll be fine, drink up, a certain little witch has awoken from her casket" Katherine smirked
