Caroline drifted and then woke up to a snap of clapping, she sighed and saw Katherine Pierce stood there in the same clothes that she died in. She smirked Widely and sat beside a pool, Caroline glanced around as it was the most beautiful place she had ever seen, The lights were bright which she couldn't stand but what she couldn't understand was.. If she was dead then why was she living a life of luxury? Katherine sighed and watched Caroline's reaction and jumped into the pool, Caroline looked confused as Katherine went underwater and she wasn't wet at all, her hair was still curly and her clothes were still dry, Caroline looked more confused as Katherine started to laugh like she was happy.
"What is this place?" Caroline asked
"Oh good you're awake" Katherine sighed
"Katherine?" Caroline asked
"You're probably wondering why we are here, this is a place that I chose, I wanted to go for a little swim" Katherine smiled
"But you're clothes are dry and so is you're hair" Caroline mumbled
"I know, I can choose whether I want to take a proper swim or a mind controlled one" Katherine smiled
"I'm confused, I'm dead" Caroline shook her head
"Yes Caroline so am I" Katherine sighed
"Then why are we here, alive, awake?" Caroline asked
"Stop asking questions, all you need to know is that there's this master as he calls himself who controls this place, and the best part is you can make this anything you want, If you wanted to go to the Salvatore's to see you're children then you could but you would be exiting this place and back in mystic falls and whenever you're ready you come back here or go a place of you're choice" Katherine explained
"So we're dead but we can still go places and see people but they can't see or hear us?" Caroline asked
"Exactly" Katherine smiled
"What is this place?" Caroline asked
"This is called The Unknown, I transferred it into a mansion, our master is waiting in the kitchen" Katherine smirked
They travelled through to the Kitchen which was all red and black, it was exquisite and so neat and tidy and there was a man sat at the kitchen desk making pancakes, Caroline looked confused and Katherine sat down spinning on a chair reading the headlines of the paper, Caroline glanced over and it said 'HELL', the man turned around and smiled widely at Caroline, She took a seat and glanced over.
"Ah hello Caroline, i'm Cade, would you like a Pancake?" Cade asked
"We can eat?" Caroline asked
"You haven't told her the basics Katherine" Cade scolded
"I'm working on it" Katherine sighed nibbling on a doughnut
"Caroline, you're officially dead in the human world but in the unknown you're alive but you can just see dead people and they can see you, human people can't see you unless they are injured or dead, You can see them, hear them and touch them but they can't hear, touch, or see you, but welcome to The Unknown Caroline, This is you're new home" Cade explained
"This is so confusing" Caroline sighed
"Just relax, Katherine will show you everything, you can have a trip to Mystic Falls today, I want you to have a free day before we start work" Cade smiled
"Work? I didn't even work when I was actually alive!" Caroline exclaimed
"No Caroline, our work is different, you go check up on people and if they have done bad things you report to me and I bring them here and either kill them or warn them" Cade grinned
