THE AWAKENING

Chapter 48, The Return to Mystic Falls

Bonnie took Damon back to the safe house and Klaus and Elijah arrived to take the coffin, when damon got back everyone packed their things, including Damon's and Bonnie's. He glanced around curiously and didn't know what to expect and then they all smiled lined up together including Alannah and Freya just stood there

"Where are we all going?" Bonnie asked

Mystic Falls" Stefan smiled

"Freya why are you here?" Damon asked

"I gave Christian my power to kill Elena and the prophecy was fake, nobody was after you.." freya paused

"You made us move out of own homes and killed my girlfriend?!" Damon asked furious

"Yes and i'm sorry.." freya mumbled and then left

"Lets go home, come on" Caroline whispered and hugged Damon

They all arrived back in Mystic Falls, it was the neat tidy place it had already been, they went inside the grill which was empty and blasted music out, Elena watched down on them all and cried and grinned. Damon kept drinking and drinking and then the night was soon over and more people flooded in dancing away. Stefan took his brother home and everyone else went with them.

Klaus had opened the door to see Damon sprawled out on the sofa, he grinned and went upstairs, Caroline followed after him and changed into her red lace night gown, as klaus got out his bathroom he saw Caroline and gasped.

"Klaus.." she paused

"Hello love" he grinned

They both stared at each other and flew into each others arms. He swung her legs around him and kissed her neck and then her lips and they walked into his room as he carried Caroline and one thing led to another and then she stopped and laid on the bed kicking the door shut and klaus went over and cuddled her till she fell asleep. Stefan went into his room and fell straight asleep unlike Damon who laid awake for hours on edge. Alannah was asleep and damon was so confused and then turned off his light and went to sleep.

The next morning Caroline awoke and jumped up to see a shirtless Klaus laid next to her, she glanced around and realised that this wasn't her room and then a sleeping Klaus awoke and grinned as Damon opened the door and then looked confused.

"Sorry.. am i interrupting something?" Damon asked and raised his eyebrows

"Nope, sleeping beauty has just awoken.." Klaus grinned

"Enjoy you're stay at hotel du Klaus" Damon winked and shut the door

"Did we..." caroline paused

"Yes love" Klaus smiled

"Crap..." caroline paused

"Caroline.." Klaus paused

"Yeah?" She asked

"Do you love Stefan or I?" Klaus asked

"Klaus..I have strong feelings for you I do but.. Stefan and I, we've always had a thing.." Caroline paused

"And none of this changed that?" Klaus asked

"No.." Caroline paused

"Right" klaus frowned

"I'm sorry.. I should go" Caroline frowned and walked out the door

She walked downstairs to see Alannah, Lizzie and Josie watching TV and Damon was sat in the kitchen watching videos of him and Elena throwing flour, they kissed at the end and his eyes welled up with tears, Caroline frowned and put her arm around him and Stefan came through and saw Damon on the edge of crying, he sat opposite his brother and smiled faintly.
