Chapter 40, the Love i have for you will never die

Damon closed his eyes to find himself in Elena's mind and to see her one last time, she was stood in a purple tank top that was ruffled at the top and blue jeans and brown boots with her straight hair over her shoulders, he smiled widely as he came out the bushes and wore a grey t-shirt with dark jeans and dark shoes with his hair ruffled he stood opposite Elena and she smiled widely as they were on the road where they first met.

"On the abandoned road where we first met? Impressive miss gilbert" Damon smiled

"Well if i'm going to see you one last time we should make it count don't you think?" She asked and smirked

"You left me again.." damon paused

"I know.. but i'm here now" Elena smiled

"Elena come home" damon frowned

"Hey don't go all tearful on me, you're Damon Salvatore, You stood right here and told me everything i wanted and Damon you're right I had a love that consumed me, i had passion and adventure i had everything you wanted me to have because you came into my life, We fought like a married couple but Damon you'll always mean the whole world to me and to everyone, even Katherine" Elena smiled

"I don't know who i am without you" Damon cried

"You're Damon Salvatore, a selfless man who risked his life for the love of his girl and his friends and his family, nobody could ever change that" Elena cried

Elena and damon moved closer so they were just a few inches apart as their bodies touched, she placed her hands to his cheeks and tears ran down their faces.

"Who is Damon Salvatore without Elena Gilbert? A selfish friend? A jealous brother? A horrible son? But maybe with just a little luck i'll do right by you, is what i said the last time you were gone and you may be miles away or right next to me Elena Gilbert but my heart is right there in that coffin with you forever and always because the love i have for you will never die" Damon cried

"Damon you've changed my life, you made it complete and i don't want to leave you" Elena cried

"Then don't" Damon cried

"I don't have a choice anymore" Elena cried

"Elena you are by far the greatest thing thats happened to me on my 175 years on this earth, and time will stand still without you, i can't be without you Elena because.. i've never stopped loving you, its always been you and there's so much i never got to say" Damon cried and looked down

"Hey hey look at me.. Damon Salvatore you will never leave my heart never i promise you that I may not be here right next to you but i am with you right there in you're heart" Elena cried

"I love you Elena" Damon cried and held her tight

"And i love you Damon" Elena cried and fell against him

"Elena whats happening?" Damon asked concerned

"I'm getting really tired.." Elena paused

"No Elena don't leave me.. Elena please" Damon begged and sat on the ground with her in his arms

"I just need one last thing.." Elena croaked

"Anything" Damon cried

"Kiss me one last time" Elena smiled faintly

Damon kissed Elena gently on her lips and then she fell into his arms her heartbeat was already gone but she was getting weaker, Damon cried and held her tight in his arms

"I love you Damon Salvatore... hold onto that forever.." Elena cried

Damon saw Elena shut her eyes completely and he kissed her forehead and cried uncontrollably, he opened his eyes and released his hand from hers. He stroked her silky hair and trailed his finger down the left side of her face and planted a kiss on her lips as a tear fell on her face from his eyes, he cried more and more and more as they shut the coffin  and he cried into Stefan's arms...

I actually fount this chapter really sad 😔😂
