" When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part, oh, when darkness comes
And pain is all around."

The lobby of BLI Headquarters was quiet. I didn't like it. It was too white and shiny for me. But I had to keep going. Mom and Dad depended on me. I strolled up to the front desk.

"May I help you?" A lady leaned over the clean front desk. But it wasn't a regular lady. I've seen them around before. She was an android, used as a secretary.

"I'm here to see my mom and dad." I told the android lady sweetly, remembering every word Ghoul had told me to say. The android smiled, but it wasn't a real smile. I was smart enough to know that it was programmed.

"What are their names?" The secretary asked.

"Lydia and Marcus Clark." I smiled back, pretending to sound innocent. The android picked up a phone on the desk.

"Hello, M'am. We have a young child here to see his parents. Yes, the couple from last week. I'll send him right up."

The android dropped the phone.

"Right through those doors." She pointed towards a pair of sliding glass doors that blocked off a long, white hallway.

'Was that it? It can't have been that easy...'

I cautiously walked through the bleak hallway, and let out a small cry for help when I felt somebody's hands grab me and pull me away.

"Shh! You're going to wake them!"

I had been pulled into what looked like an empty storage space. A girl with curly brown hair and olive skin put her hand over my mouth. She looked around my age, and wore a white hospital gown.

"What are you doing here?" She tilted her head.

"Why would I tell you!" I spat.

"You're from outside. I can tell." The girl lowered her arm from my face.

"Yeah, so what?"

"Why are you here?"

I paused for a moment, wondering whether I should tell the girl why I was here.

"If you're looking for someone, I can help." She offered.

"Really?" My eye brightened.

"Yeah, but on one condition; you take me out of here."

"Okay." I smiled.

Slowly, the girl opened up the closet door.

"Who are you looking for?" She asked me, moving slowly down the hall.

"My parents. They were taken here a week ago." I told her. We reached a metal door with a keypad.

"I don't have the code." She admitted, looking at her shoes. I pulled out my metal key-card and placed it on top of the keypad. The door swung open effortlessly.

"How did you do that?" Her mouth dropped.

"Magic." I teased.

"Wait, why are there no guards or anything." I looked around, suspiciously.
