"Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I've said too much"

::Loosing My Religion- R.E.M::

(Atomic's P.o.V)

To be honest, I was ready to die. I don't know how long I had been held captive in this place. I don't remember eating or drinking. All I knew was that I was slowly going insane, I was being tortured from the inside, and Party was in this building, looking for me. It hurt me so much to know that I could see him, but he couldn't see me.

I lay in the corner, my face pressed against the one-sided window. I had curled myself up into a ball, and I was humming to myself.

Can you believe it? I was humming.

I wasn't sure what else to do.

"That's me in the corner, that's me in the spotlight, losing my religion..."

I sang quietly. My voice was broken.

'Just another part of me that's broken.'

"I thought that I heard you laughing, I thought that I heard you sing. I think I thought I saw you try."

A tear fell out of my eye, dropping onto the floor that had warmed up, due to my body heat.

"Every whisper, of every waking hour, I'm choosing my confessions..."

My singing was interrupted with the occasional sob.

"Trying to keep an eye on you, like a hurt, lost and blinded fool. Oh no, I've said too much, I set it up."

That's when I fell silent. A new pair of footsteps passed me by.

'What are they doing here?'

Volume, Toxic, Neon and Smoke were hurrying down the hallway.

"Could your steps be any louder?" Volume whispered to Toxic.

"Sorry." He shrugged, keeping his voice quiet.

"Smoke! Volume! Over here!" I called out.

The three Killjoys stopped walking.

"Did you guys here something?" Toxic asked, looking around.

"Yes! It's me!" I lifted myself off of the ground, pressing my hands against the glass.

"No, we have to keep moving." Volume instructed. I screamed in frustration.

"Idiots!"

This time, Smoke took a few steps towards me.

"What's this?" His hand was directly on the glass.

"It's glass! Break it!" I instructed, almost laughing.

"It's a black wall, now let's go!" Volume motioned for Smoke to leave.

"No, this is a window. I recognize the material." Smoke told the two other Killjoys. He pulled out a bright pink ray gun.

"Atomic, I don't know if you're in there, but move out of the way." He grit his teeth, and began to shoot at the wall. I rolled myself against the wall, careful to stay out of the way of the light beams. After a few shots, the glass shattered into millions of pieces.
