"They're playing the song of the century,
of panic and promise and prosperity.
Tell me a story into that goodnight,
Sing us a song for me."::Song of the Century- Green Day::

It took one week for my life to change completely. One single week. I never took time to process it, but here I was, an actual Killjoy.
"We have two spare rooms down here, but they're sort of a mess." Party had lead me down into the basement. There were a total of five bedrooms, presumably belonging to the diner's previous owners. It came with a bathroom that didn't work, and a kitchen with a sink that barely functioned on a good day.
"I still don't understand how on earth you managed to score this place. I thought that everything out here would just be in complete ruins." I remarked.
"You'd be surprised." Party raised his eyebrow.
"Tomorrow, I'll take you for a tour of the Zones. There's so much that you don't know."
Party opened the white wooded door of a room. Inside, it was flooded with empty food cans, dead batteries and other garbage.
"Nice place." I scoffed. Party chuckled nervously.
"We didn't really know where to put our garbage, and we didn't want to leave this shit laying around."
"It's okay. I like cleaning." I reassured him.
"I can get everyone down here to help right now."
Before I could say that I didn't need the help, Party had sprinted upstairs. He quickly returned, all four Killjoys behind him.
"Alright, Freia needs this room. We gotta empty everything out." Party commanded his troops. Ghoul groaned.
"Where is it all gonna go?" He whined.
"Outside. I'll figure something else out."
Within two hours, everyone had piled the trash into old cardboard boxes, and everything was moved out to the back of the diner. The room was spotless. In the corner, there was a small, neatly made bed. Next to it was a simple night stand.
"It's pretty bland, but I'm sure you can jazz it up along the way." Party sounded embarrassed as he showed me my room.
"It's great!" I gave Party a hug. He seemed taken aback by my sudden embrace.
"Um, sure, yeah, great..." Party flustered.
'What's he on about?'
"Anyways, we gotta clear out that other room for Dylan and that girl, whoever she is." Party reminded me of the strange girl upstairs.
"Do you still not know her name?" I inquired.
"She says she doesn't have one, but she's no threat." Party told me. I shrugged. It's one little girl, how much harm could she cause? Besides, it was good for Dylan to have someone his age around. He must have grown tired of hanging around with his big sister and a bunch of adults.

The sun had set by the time the children's room was cleaned.
"Cool!" Dylan marveled at his new home.
"Wait, where's the other bed." The little girl pointed at the single cot in the corner of the white room, much like mine.
