A poetic genius genius,
Its something I don't see,
Why would a genius be trippin on me?

One week had passed since Party's run-in with Korse's gun, and he was walking around. Being allowed free reign of the diner was an improvement, instead of being cooped up in his room, but Party didn't like the confinement.
"Guys, I'm fine. I just want to go driving." He argued with the three other Killjoys.
"Nope. Not safe." Jet informed Party, who slumped his shoulders in defeat.
"Well, if no one is taking the car, I'm gonna go visit my friends." I grabbed the keys to the Trans AM.
"I swear to god, if you crash her..." Party stuck his finger out at me.
"Oh please, I haven't crashed your car once. I'll be fine." I reassured him, placing my hands on his shoulders.
"Yeah, but I gave you two driving lessons. I still don't know if I should be letting you." Party began to reason with himself.
"I'm a fast learner. Besides, Psycho has been helping me."
Oops, I said the forbidden word. I didn't understand why Party was so against me mentioning Psycho. I could tell it made him uncomfortable.
"Okay, whatever." He dismissed me. I jogged out to the car, and drove off to the old church.
---
"It's so obvious that he likes you!" Volume slapped my arm after I had told her about my conversation with Party.
"Seriously, you have to say something." Smoke paced across his tiny bedroom. Volume, Ghost and I sat on his unmade bed.
"I really don't think that he likes me. Besides, I still don't think it's right."
I had this same conversation about Psycho nearly five years ago. We made up elaborate plans on how I would ask him out. I had severe deja vu when we gossiped about Party.
"What on earth are you guys talking about?" Toxic popped his head into Smokes room, his black captains hat under his arms.
"Party's in love with Atomic." Volume clutched her heart.
"Guys! You sound like children!" I scolded, but there was still a smile on my face.
"Boy problems?" Toxic straightened out. Then he cleared his throat.
"Well, from personal experience," Toxic started.
I rolled my eyes.
"You need to put yourself out there if you want his attention. If there's one thing that guys are into, it's a chick who knows what's up, you know what I'm saying?"
"Oh, but she doesn't need to get his attention. She's already got it." Ghost wiggled his eyebrows.
"Oh, Party!" Volume moaned in a high-pitch voice, causing my face to turn red.
"Shut up!" I snickered.
That's when Neon walked in. He was short, and Asian. That's all I could really say when it came to describing him. He was never the kind of guy to stand out. His personality was an entirely different topic though.
"Hey guys." He smiled, obviously aware that he brought a load of tension into the room. Ever since he told me what a horrible person I was, I haven't spoken to him. I'd barely even seen him.
