Buzz!

"Here you are Attorney Cole; have a seat there and Joe will be out in a minute."

Cheryl smiled and thanked the friendly officer before sitting down at the little booth area where she and Joe would be separated by glass to talk. They would have to communicate over the little phones that were on either side so they could hear each other, and really, Cheryl planned on keeping this short and sweet and to the point.

Her stomach churned when she saw Joe being led through on the other side by a couple police officers. Though her stomach was churning, she smirked at the confused look that came across his face when he saw who exactly had come to visit him. Regardless of the shock, he sat down and picked up the phone, leading Cheryl to do the same.

"What do you want, bitch?" he snapped straight away. Cheryl giggled softly, feeling the need to laugh as she felt so close to ending this rivalry with Joe once and for all.

"Now, is that anyway to greet your old friend, Joe?" she smirked at him, enjoying the fact that she was only pissing him off more as he glared at her.

"What do you want, Attorney Cole? Why the fuck are you here?" he frowned at her.

"Language," Cheryl replied before continuing, "Now, I just came to talk to you about something really important, and I'd appreciate it if you'd cooperate with me."

"As if I'll ever cooperate with you in anyway." Joe snorted, rolling his eyes. Cheryl chuckled, hardly breaking eye contact with him.

"So you won't tell me about Sophia's pregnancy by my ex husband? How you covered it up and now use that to try and ruin my happiness?" she smirked.

And when Joe looked up with wide eyes, she knew she had him.

"I don't know what you mean." He stuttered slightly.

"I know Ashley had an affair with Sophia seven years ago when she was sixteen years old and I know that she ended up pregnant," Cheryl replied in a hauntingly calm voice,

"I know that you handled the adoption case, I know that you're providing for the family that has her son, and I know that you threaten to throw her and your wife out of your home, to throw her son and the family that adopted them out of their home, and to ruin Ashley's entire reputation. I know that you're using all of that to manipulate both Sophia and Ashley, and that you're using the manipulation to get them to ruin my life because you just knew it would be of some advantage."

And now Joe was swallowing nervously, hardly able to break eye contact with Cheryl as she stared right back at him, continuing to speak in that calm voice.

"But you always forget something – I bounce back. Nothing tears me down; I turn my personal emotions  into my fight for justice, I always stand up on my two feet, I do my own dirty work always. Whatever game you thought you were going to play is over now. Don't you see Joe? I win the game – I always win."

"I need to go." Joe spoke with a shaky voice.

"For what? To call Sophia?" Cheryl smirked before laughing to herself, shaking her head in despair, "Don't bother - don't bother calling Ashley, don't bother calling anybody; the police are watching your every move, listening to every phone call. Nobody is bowing down to you anymore Joe, it's over."

"Shut your mouth; I'll always be more powerful than you." He snarled, trying to gain control of himself and intimidate her.

Cheryl laughed and shook her head; she loved knowing she'd gotten inside his head.

"It's over Joe; now if you don't mind, I'll see you, Carter, and Adam in court tomorrow – goodbye." She smirked. Joe was still speaking when she hung the phone up and stood up, and she burst out laughing when he banged on the glass and began screaming for her to sit down and talk. She simply waved at him before leaving, smirking to herself as she did so.
