xx : jealousy
❝an unhappy or angry feeling of wanting to have what someone else has❞

[Day 23]
Smiling.  Happiness.  Bliss.  Sunshine of hope.  Rainbows.  Unicorns.  Chick-flicks.  The warm cheesy, queasy feeling.  That's what I felt.  That's what I felt when I woke up hours after he accepted me back as a friend.  Happy.  Really, happy.  Until...  Monica.

I had stepped into breakfast only to find out the family had gone to some important event and had left the 'sleepy heads' [AKA: Greyson and I].  So, I had stepped into the kitchen and you were at the table nursing yet another cup of coffee in your hands.  You looked like you had just woken up.

"Morning, FRIEND." I emphasized.

You looked up, a small smile on your lips, "Morning, to you too."

I leaned against the table, "I want to go somewhere." I said.

"Why?" You asked.

"Because I feel like we need to do something special on our first day back as friends." I answered.

"Do we have to?" You asked again.

I nodded, "Mandatory, partner.  Movie, perhaps?" I asked.

"Do we really have to? Can't you just watch one here?" You pleaded.

"Yes and no.  It has to be special." I said.

You hung your head in defeat, "Fine. Be ready in ten." You said, going up the stairs to your room.

I smiled heading towards my own room, "Good."

Dressed in a summer dress and a sweater on top, I climbed down the stairs, dragging a brush through my hair.

"You took your time." You mumbled as you closed the door behind us.

"I'm a girl.  Stop being such a guy." I said as we climbed into the car.

The car ride towards the movie theatre was silent and comfortable.  I wanted to talk, I wanted to catch up, but it seemed like it would break the peace if we started to talk... So I didn't.  I wish I had, though.

"How about this one?" I pointed at one creepy looking movie poster.

You mumbled beside me.

"How about that one?" I asked pointing at one with a girl laughing gleefully, her arms wrapper around a man.

You mumbled, once again.

"Ooooh!  I know!  That one!" I ponted at one with a tea cup in front.

"Julianne... Just pick one.  Please."  You said.

"Uh, miss... Catching Fire is showing.. It just came today." The girl behind the counter said.

Your eyes brightened, and so did mine.

"Two tickets please." I said.

{ gazillion years ago }
I still remember it loud and clear, like the memory was just of yesterday, like it wasn't from the far past.  There was a time when everything was happy, when everyone was happy.  When no one worried about growing up, or problems, or anything like that...  When all we worried about was which Barbie would wear that day, or which color pink would go with her eyes.  Days when Kelly was with us.

Big, gigantic, theatre doors lead to big screens that displayed moving creatures, people.  Seats filled with hundreds of people, come to watch the same thing.  Armed with drinks and food, some ready to sleep, most to enjoy a nice good movie.

I held her hand, and it would always feel this way with your twin, enjoying something new... Because there was no age gap, no one who experienced it first, both experiencing it at once.  It was always like this, it was never different.

Until we grew up.

"If it weren't for the baby."  Peeta released.

I gasped next to you and you smiled, knowing you read the book and I didn't gave you amusement.

We continued watching the movie till a girl, our age, walked up the stairs to find a seat, her palm clasped to her ear like she was talking to someone over the phone.

She whispered noisily until, everyone began to shush her, she turned to apologize when she missed a step...

And landed, on the step next to your feet.

You leaned over and gave her a hand, "Hi... You okay?" You asked her.

She looked up, pushing her half frame glasses up the bridge of your nose, "Yeah... Fine... Thanks."

You looked back at me, "Julianne move over a seat will you." You said.

I nodded, not knowing what you were about to do.

"Come sit here, we'll move over." You said.

"Thanks... I'm Monica, by the way." She announced.

You smiled, "Greyson, Greyson Chance."

"I know." Monica smiled getting comfortable.

I saw the panic in your eyes, the way you looked when you thought someone was gonna go overly creepy fangirl mode.

"So... What's happened? Has Gale ruined everything yet?" She asked.

You responded with the brightest grin, like you finally found someone who understood.

"Not yet."

And you engaged into a conversation I could never barge into.

love bites when the person you love start's loving someone else when there's always you.
