❝to hold, to refuse to let go, to hide an object.❞[Day 45]
I woke up at sunrise. It was my turn to make it up to you. I took my shower and dressed up in leggings and a plaid long sleeved blouse. I put some boots on and crept downstairs. I entered the living room expecting to see your sleeping figure on the couch, but instead seeing you leaning against the window frame, staring out into the snow covered neighborhood.
I tiptoed quietly towards you slipping my arms around your waist, my head sideways on your back.
I heard you take a sharp intake of breath and you shifted around to face me. You wrapped your arms around me and kissed the top of my head.
"Good morning.." I whispered a smile on my face as I grinned up to you.
You smiled back, "Good morning."
"Let's go out." I said.
You smiled sheepishly, "I'm sorry I've got nothing planned out today were going to have to wing it."
"Well, lucky for us.. I did." I said a grin on my face.
You stared at me with wide eyes before smiling and nodding kissing me once again but on the cheek. I laughed, my face turning pink.
We left a note in the kitchen and I lead you by the hand towards the car.
I grinned up to you, "Since I'm doing the surprises today.. Can I drive?" I said looking longingly at your car.
"No. Absolutely not." You said shaking your head.
"What? Why?" I asked pouting.
"You're not a very good driver, Julianne." You said.
"Hey! I've been gone for years how do you know that's still the case?" I asked.
He looked unsurely at me.
"Please?" I asked with big wide puppy eyes and a pout on my lips.
You groaned, "Please. Please take care of my baby." You begged holding up the keys.
"Okie dokie." I said a huge grin on my face once again.

Through gritted teeth you muttered under your breath chanting the words, "I don't want to die." as you clutched the arm rest next to you.
"Julianne! Please stop the car and let me drive!" You begged.
I sent you a big smile, "But were almost there, honey." I said sweetly.
Your eyes widened before they shut closed, unwilling to observe my horrifying driving.
"You better go through drivers ed again when you get back to New York." He said.
I nodded, "I will." I said reassuringly my voice soft.
We skittered to a halt in a parking space and with record time you took off your seat belt and exited the car.
