Chapter 16

"Downstairs, in 5 minutes...both of you!" Anjali said sternly and walked out of the room.

Naina clutched Aarav's arm who turned to her and said, "Nothing is gonna happen, okay! You have me got it?" She nodded and he held her hand tightly. "Let's go!" he said.

"Chotte...open the door" Anjali called out.

"Khushi, di is knocking the door. I'll call you back" Arnav said and cut the call.

Everyone gathered in the living room hearing Anjali's loud voice calling them.

"What happened di?" Akash asked looking around to find the whole family there and Anjali standing at the centre while Aarav and Naina stood before her, holding hands.

Anjali turned to Arnav and said, "Chotte, I want this girl out of this house, right now!"

"Anjali bitiya, what happened? What is the matter?" Nani asked looking at a pale Naina who was clutching Aarav's arm tightly not letting it go.

"Because this girl is trapping my son!" Anjali said and everyone gasped.

"Mom stop! Naina isn't trapping me. I love her!" Aarav said angrily, "Loving is not a big crime!"

"Loving is not a crime Aarav. But for god sake, didn't you find anyone better? How on earth did you fall for a dumb girl?" Anjali shouted.

"Bas di..." Arnav intervened seeing Naina's white face, "You cannot insult Naina like this. Don't forget that you also have a limb!"

"Exactly!" Aarav cried, "How can you judge Naina mom? You also fall in the same category. At least she is not like you who depend on others for living and always sits mourning over her broken marriage. She stands up for her and that make her perfect!"

"Shut up Aarav, you don't know what you're talking about!" Anjali shouted, "You're doing a big mistake. If you marry her then you're going to face the society!"

"I'll face it. I'm ready to face anything but I won't leave Naina!" he said clutching her palm tightly, "I cannot live without her!"

"You can. You'll live the same way you've been living some months ago!" Anjali cried.

"Who told you that I have been living alone? Me and Naina are in a living relation for the past 3 months!" Aarav said.

Everyone gasped and Nani said, "What is all this Aarav? Living relationship?"

Aarav nodded and said, "Yes, what's wrong in that? I love her, she loves me, we'll marry after our studies so what's wrong if we stay together?"

Anjali was about to shout when Arnav said, "No di, he is right! He didn't do anything wrong! And if you're gonna shout at him for hiding this, then let me say, I knew about it!"

Everyone looked at him shocked and Anjali gasped, "You knew?"

Arnav looked at Aarav and said, "Can I say them everything?"

Aarav nodded and Naina looked down frightened. Arnav sighed and looked at Anjali and began,

"Aarav and Naina are in relationship since one year and they started living together three months ago. And one and half month before, they had their arts day. Both of them were drunk and they were carried away."

Aarav continued, "The next week Naina fainted at college. Doctor confirmed that she was pregnant!"

Everyone gasped and Anjali was about to shout when Aarav continued, "Let me say. We both decided to disclose this to family but somehow the news reached Naina's father. Her family stays at Shimla."
