Imagine Matt taking care of you when you're sick
You rarely got sick and when you did get sick, all hell broke loose. You woke up to an awful feeling in your gut, bile rising up your throat, indicating that you were about to throw up. You rushed to the toilet as quickly as possible and barely made it, still getting vomit on the floor and on the seat of the toilet but the majority of it was in the toilet bowl. Matt had been sleeping in bed but after hearing you, he shot up to see what was going on. He rushed behind you and pulled your hair back, slowly rubbing your back.
After, Matt had taken you back to bed, given you a garbage can and put on your favourite TV show. Matt also cleaned up the vomit and washed your dirty clothes and gave you fresh clothes. You were vomiting every ten minutes and it was torture,
"Matt,"
Your croaky voice caught Matt's attention, causing him to run into your shared bedroom,
"Can you get me some ginger ale, please?"
He smiled and nodded,
"Sure thing."
Matt left the room and you heard his truck drive away not long after. You sat and watched your show, puked a bit more and soon enough, Matt came to your rescue. He had crackers, bread and butter, a small bowl of soup and some flat ginger ale all on a tray. You were famished but decided not to gorge yourself but to eat a few crackers and drink the ginger ale. Matt climbed in bed with you and pulled you close, putting his arm around your waist. You cuddled into his side and leaned on his shoulder. Matt gently kissed the top of your head,
"Are you feeling better?"
You looked up to him and smiled,
"Now that you're here."
He rolled his eyes but smiled. You wanted to kiss him but you decided it would be best not to.
Your eyes got droopy and you were slowly drifting off but before you were totally out, you whispered to Matt,
"I'm lucky to have you. I love you Matt."
And you heard him say,
"I love you too."
Giving you happy thoughts before you went to sleep.
