The words swirled in my mind a hundred times. Maybe my mind thought it was just a hallucination. It was so sudden yet everything seemed to slow down. The place became blurry except for the two of us. My heart was beating loudly in my chest, so loud that I could hear its drumming in my ears as blood pulsed through my veins. I had no idea what to think or even react.

I wasn't ready. I wasn't ready in the sense of having a confession scene in my life. I didn't even fucking know this is what people felt when someone confessed to them. It was just 'like' but the impact was unbearable already.

I looked at him only to find him staring at me intently with the eyes full with passion and determination.

"W-What . . ." I muttered. I closed my eyes and tried to clear my voice. My heart rate doesn't seem to slow down a bit. I feel like I'm running out of breath. I don't even know what I exactly feel! Is this excitement? I don't know. "W-What . . . did you just s-say?" I finally was able to mutter after looking away.

I heard him chuckled. "Aww, Athena is being shy right now," He said as he laughed. "You're even sweating!"

I raised my eyebrows at him and slapped him on his shoulders feeling as though my cheeks flushed in red. Aba naman! May gana pa ang gago tumawa eh halos mamatay matay na ako dito!

After a while, he stopped then I heard him heave a sigh. "Look at me." He said.

I did a quick glance. Jeez, I feel so awkward right now.

He grabbed my chin and faced it to his direction. I was so surprised by what he did especially that his touch feels like it sent electricity throughout my body. There was a tingling sensation that I can't comprehend. Ghad, am I going insane now?

He forced me to look at him but I closed my eyes tightly. "Open your eyes," He said. "Please?"

When he said the word 'please' together with a tone as if he was really pleading I immediately opened my eyes and look at him.

He smiled at me. "I wanted to tell you something."

"What is it?" I asked.

He looked away for a second as I saw his cheeks and ears flushed in red. He's the one being shy now huh?
