Chapter 39

Another rock hit me on my forehead and it started to bleed. That's when the time that I realize I'm already falling. I was about to release the merging with my Pegasus when I felt the tail of the scorpion hit me on my back. I screamed because of the excruciating pain as it made me sent flying towards Thalia, Clarisse and Jessica's direction.

I fell and hit the ground with a loud thud. I felt my ribs cracked, fortunately there were no broken bones. The blood oozing out from my forehead reached my eyes, hindering my sight. Clarisse, Jessica and Thalia quickly helped me up on my feet, worry evident in their faces.

I staggered, trying to stand up. "Are you okay?" I heard Thalia asked, I nodded. I saw Jessica raised her wand and was about to heal me when I stopped her.

"Don't. You don't need to heal me. Conserving energy is much more important right now considering that simple attacks won't do any damage to our opponent. I'm alright and I still can fight." I said and I looked at them. I noticed the scratches from both Thalia and Clarisse's bodies but that's just it, there's no fatal wounds. I sighed in relief.

I wiped the blood on my eyes but it's useless. When one's forehead bleeds, the blood that gushes out from it is always excessive and almost non stop. Fortunately, the rock that flew earlier hit me on the left side of my forehead so it's only my left eye that's hindered with sight because of blood. I can still fight with one eye open.

I scanned the surrounding and I noticed that we're already on our desired spot, the park. I looked at them, "Now's the time to lure that thing here." I said.

Thalia advanced and brought out two small orbs, the color were white and yellow. She glared at the scorpion, "Let me." She said. I can feel her hatred raging. She grip the orbs tightly and yelled, "Serpente Expergiscimini!" The orbs burst with light, then it combined in the air forming a sniper. The color of the entirety of the sniper were white and I almost gasp when I saw a tattoo in a form of a snake that's color yellow and it's spiralling around the sniper. It almost looked alive!

"That must be the hard-earned weapon she bought at the weapon shop in the north area." I heard Jessica said. Clarisse whistled, "And it costs almost 500 gold, that's a hundred million pesos when converted to the currency used in mortal world."

I looked at them wide eyed. "That's too expensive! Why would she buy that thing?" I asked. Jessica faced me, "It's because Thalia's magic is not entirely for offense. So she's buying weapons to aid her in her battles." I nodded in understanding. Well they have a point, kung walang weapon si Thalia, enhanced strength lang ang mgagamit niya para matalo ang kalaban. "And besides," I faced Clarisse when she started saying something. "Hindi rin naman yan basta basta. All of her weapons in possession were forge and made with great blacksmiths using magic and rare materials."

Multiple light burst from Thalia's body, green, purple, white, blue and red. Her power creates tremors and I feel her magical energy increasing. Then slowly, the light envelopes here sniper. So she's enhancing the overall power and speed of her sniper using her enhancement magic huh?

She pointed her sniper at the direction of our opponent and fired it with no second thoughts. There was a loud boom when she fired it. I winced because its as if my whole body vibrated even the insides. My eyes are used to fast movements but I almost didn't notice the bullet. Because I'm merged with my spirit, I had a bit of enhanced sight nevertheless it's only the silhouette of the bullet that I managed to see. Even the silhouette looked so sharp I'm sure it could pierce anything.
