There Are Two Speedsters?! [The Flash] [Discontinued]

RILEY

"I know babe, but I can't be in the office right now. I have to gather research for my report," I say to Elias through my phone.

"I know, but I miss you," Elias complains in a baby voice.

I stop in font of S.T.A.R. Labs and I sigh, "I got to go, how about dinner at my place when I'm done."

"Fine....." Elias trails off. "Bye sweetheart."

"Bye," I say as I hag up and I super speed into the cortex. When I get in, everyone has worried looks on their faces. "What's wrong? And, where's Bette, I want to show her some fighting tricks."

"She's gone," Cisco barely whispers.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"She didn't say," Barry answers.

"Then where could she be?" I ask raising my voice.

Cisco's face lights up, "I can hack into the military feed, maybe Eiling is with her." Cisco types a bunch of code I couldn't read because he was typing to fast. the computer beeps, "I'm in. Looks like they've gone to the waterfront to rendezvous with Bette." Cisco pauses, building the suspense, "She's turning herself in."

"She's not turning herself in," Barry states as he looks at me, signaling to get into our suits(the ones that didn't go kaboom).

"Please let them get there in time," Cisco says to himself, but we can hear through the com. 

Barry and I super speed in front of Bette, so she doesn't touch Eiling. "What are you guys doing here?" Bette asks a bit angrily.

"Being a soldier doesn't mean you're a murderer," Barry explains trying to calm Bette down.

"Please don't become one now," I beg, trying to save all of us all.

A gun is shot and, before we could stop it, the bullet hits Bette in the chest, causing her to fall to ground. Barry and I take out mask off and kneel down to see Bette. "I'm sorry. We didn't see him," Barry apologizes in a panicked voice.

"Don't be," Bette breathes out. "It's not your fault. I'm glad you guys stopped me."

"We're going to get you back to S.T.A.R. Labs," I explain as Barry is about to pick he up.

"Barry. Riley," Bette whimpers in pain. "Dr. Wells, he....He....."

Before she can finish her sentence, she closes her eyes and her chest goes flat. I can't help it, I hug her and I start to cry, "No....."

After about twenty seconds, Barry taps my back, making me let go of Bette and I look down at her to see her entire body has these bright purple streaks. "We have a problem," Barry says into the com.

"Is Bette okay?" Cisco asks, very scared.

"No," I sniff, wiping the tears off my cheek, "Eiling killed her."

"She's glowing," Barry explains. "She's gonna detonate."

"Oh, my god," Caitlin says in panic. "A mass that size, the explosion would be--"

"Devastating," Wells finishes.

"You guys have to get he away from the city," Caitlin orders.

"But there's no time," Barry states.

I look around and my eyes narrow in on the water, I press on the com to speak, "Can we run on water? If Barry build up enough speed to run up a building. How fast do we need to go to run on water?"

"Assuming your weights...450 pounds of force per step for vertical suspension," Cisco mumbles. "Accounting for fluid drag."

"Approximately 650 miles an hour," Wells finishes.

"You guys have to out run the blast or you guys will die too," Cisco states.

Barry looks at me, "You have to stay here."

"What? No!" I protest.

"If I die, Central City still needs a hero," Barry explains.

"I'd rather die than loose another person I care about," I yell.

"There's no time to argue!" Barry yells back making me go silent.

A tear goes down my cheek and I nod, "You can do this."

Before I can protest, Barry crashes his lips onto my. I freeze, not knowing what to do. Barry pulls away, looks me in the eye, and speeds off with Bette.

I press on the com, "How's he doing so far?"

"He's doing it," Cisco breathes out in relief.

"I did it, guys," Barry says through the com.

He did it! But...why did he do what he did before?

I speed back into S.T.A.R. Labs to change back into my normal clothes. I don't wait for Barry, or anyone. I need sometime to think.

Right when I walk outside, my phone starts buzzing, "Hello?"

"Hey, darling," Elias greets. "I was just wondering if you were done getting your info."

"Oh!" I realize that was the lie I gave him. "Ya, I finished. I'm heading to my apartment, I'll meet you there and we'll order some pizza or something."

"Sounds like a plan," Elias states. "See you in a few minutes," Elias hangs up as I super speed to the back of my apartment building.

I walk into the building and I head into my apartment. As soon as I open my door, soft music starts playing. I turn around to see Elias in a white button up and black dress pants, with a huge smile on his face.

"Elias...." I trail off, "What are you doing?"

Elias walks up to me, he holds both of my hands, and lightly kisses them. "I know you hate cliché, but I thought you'd make an exception just this once."

"It depends on what type of cliché we're talking about," I state cheekily.

"I love you," Elias says looking me straight in eye.

I freeze, what did he just say? He loves....me? As in...me? Me...me? Do I love him? I mean I haven't really thought about it. Maybe I'm hearing things. Ya, maybe I'm just---

"Riley, can you please say something?" Elias begs. Yup, I  heard right.

Well dating Elias is amazing. He's so sweet, and he makes me feel really special. I mean, I know Barry kissed me, but he probably did it because he could've died. I love Elias. I love him.

"I love you," I state. "I love you, Elias."

Elias grins, dips me, and passionately kisses me. "Oh god, I love you."

"I....love.....you....too," I say in between kisses.

BARRY'S POV

I stand in front of Riley's apartment door with a bouquet of roses, her favorite flower, ready to tell Riley how I feel about her. I can do this, I got this.

I lift my fist up to knock on the wooden door, but then I hear, "Oh god, I love you."

My eyes widen, did I just hear what I think I just heard? No, Riley and Elias haven't been dating for that long. "I....love...you...too," I hear Riley say in between pauses. I can feel my heart shatter into a million pieces, then stomped on.

"Riley loves him?" I ask out loud. Before I know it, I super speed out of the apartment building and I just walk into a bar a few minutes, well seconds for me, away. Why do I go after the girls I can never get?

AHH!!! That physically hurt m when I wrote this. I felt like there needed to be a big BANG for this chapter.
