"Here is the article I wrote on the bombing," I hand him a printed version of it. "I even got a quote from a few witnesses."

"Oh," Mr. Smith raises his eyebrows, "You got one from Iris West. The girl obsessed with a fictional character that she made up in her own crazy head and decided to blog about it."

"That's incredibly rude."

"Aw, you're defending your pathetic friend for being crazy. How sweet," Mr. Smith sasses.

I put both of my hands on his desk and lean forward, "I'm pretty much done with you making rude remarks about me, or Elias. But now, you called my friend crazy. That's where I draw the line."

"What are you going to do?" Mr. Smith asks. "Might I remind you that I'm your boss."

"Here's what I'm going to do, I quit," I state as I open his office door to leave.

"You wouldn't dare," Mr. Smith growls.

"Watch me," I say as I walk out the door.

"You walk out of the building and you can never come back!" Mr. Smith yells.

"Darling, what are you doing?" Elias asks hesitantly.

"What I should've done a while ago," I explain as I grab my purse and my note pads.

"Riley, think about what you're doing," Linda warns. "He can ruin you."

"Sometimes it's worth it. I'm tired of him treating me awfully," I state as I open the exit door of Picture News. "See you guys later."

As soon as I stepped out of the building, a rush of relief washes over me knowing I don't have Mr. Smith to deal with anymore. No more snarky remarks. No more last minute reports. But, where am I going to work now?

"Damn it!" I say out loud realizing this was the only place I could work with crime and sciences.

I super speed into S.T.A.R. Labs and I head straight to the training room to use the Salmon Ladder. Sometimes I really miss Starling, I could get another job in minutes. Hell, I was offered to be a boss of a company before, but I turned it down because I moved here.

"H-hey," I hear someone say as I hop off the Salmon Ladder, drenched in sweat.

I look up to see Barry in a loose T-shirt and sweatpants, "Hey, Barry. I'm sorry, but I'm not in the mood to spar." I try to act casual, trying not to have the kiss affect me.

Barry nods, "Okay...how's the boyfriend?"

"Look, I know you don't like him--"

"What?" Barry asks. "What makes you thing I don't like the boyfriend?"

"One," I say as I start punching one of the punching bags, "you always call him 'the boyfriend' or you say his name in disgust. You forget, I know when people lie."

"Can I talk to you? Without you punching something," Barry explains.

"Sure," I nod as I grab a towel and stand in front of him. "What's up?"

"About yesterday..." Barry trails off, making my eyes widen knowing where this conversation was going.

"You save Central City....like usual," I say, trying to avoid what he's going to say.

"Yes, but--"

"I just wish Eiling's ass is in jail, that would make it a whole lot better," I state.

"True, also--"

"I also wish you didn't leave me behind," I interrupt him again.

"I had to, but that's not what I'm--"

"I really love what Cisco has done with this room--" Barry interrupts me.

"Amelia!" I stay silent. "I'm not talking about saving Central City! I'm talking about before I ran on water."

"Well you did tell me that I had to stay there while you do all the work," I stall.

"I didn't just do that..." Barry trails off. "I kis--"

"Barry!" I get his attention. "I know you were caught up in the moment, because you were about to die. So I get it, no harm done. That is what you were going to say, right?"

Barry's face drops and he nods, "Y-ya, about to die could make you do stupid s-stuff."

I smile, "Exactly."

"T-there's also something else I need to tell y-you," Barry stutter. I wait for him to tell me, "Iris is writing about you and me. I mean, saving people, you and me."

"I know," I state as he gives me a confused look. "Iris told me about it when she started writing it. She's my friend too."

"And you didn't try and stop her?" Barry asks, getting a bit annoyed.

"Why fight it when you're not going to win?" I ask. "Plus, she's a journalist. She's not going to stop until she gets the whole story. Trust me, I would know. Before I became Bolt, all I wanted was my big break, a story so great that the whole world would know me. Then, I heard about the hood, I thought this was my big break. For weeks, I was studying his moves and I was able to track his hideout. The only reason I stopped was because I found out it was Thea's brother."

"How was Oliver so cool with you breaking in to let you join the team?" Barry asks.

"Turns out, he got Felicity to hack my computer and track me while I was tracking them. Funny thing is, he did his homework on me," I explain. "Look, I get why you don't want Iris writing about this. I don't like it either. But just remember, Iris has a boyfriend."

Barry looks taken back at the remark, "W-what are y-you talking about?"

"Oh come on, I wouldn't be a journalist if I couldn't tell you were in love with Iris," I chuckle. "Then again, probably not going to get a job in journalism for a while."

"What do you mean?"

I raise my eyebrows, "You sure ask a lot of questions." Barry looks at the floor, "I'm kidding. But, I quit my job today, that's why I'm here."

Barry's face lights up, "Why don't you work for the CCPD?" I give him a confused look, "You're really good with computer, and you'd be a good CSI."

"But I don't have any training," I explain.

"Well....your future uncle-in-law just so happens to be the captain," Barry states.

I shake my head, "I'm not going to use David as an in."

"Just think about it," Barry pleads and I nod.
