Craig heard his phone ding, a new message. It was from Kenny. He got out? Last time he did, Craig was happy. But this time, he was just worried. Of course it was good to hear that Kenny got home.. but this quick? All Craig could do was just wish Kenny didn't lie his way out of the hospital. He could lie and make the doctors think he's alright.
At the end Craig decided to brush it off. Maybe he was too overprotective. Maybe Kenny was actually okay.
"Yay!" he texted Kenny.
"Wanna come over today?" Kenny texted back.
"Sure."
He was supposed to go over to Kenny's house on Friday already, but then Kenny overdosed and their plans changed a little.
An hour later Craig knocked on the door. Kenny's mom let him in. He walked straight to Kenny's door.
"Craig?"
"It's me."
Craig heard Kenny get up and run to the door. Then he heard a thud. And then Kenny finally got the door open.
"Did you try to go through it first?" Craig grinned.
Kenny just laughed. He let Craig in and closed the door behind them.
Craig wasn't sure whether to ask him or not. Ask if he lied his way out of the hospital. Kenny seemed to be on a great mood, Craig would hate to ruin it. That's how Kenny was before his depression. It made Craig believe that he actually got better, so he decided not to talk about what Kenny did the day before.
That's also how Kenny was when he took his meds. Maybe they just made him take them at the hospital, that's why he's so happy. At least now Craig would recognize if Kenny stopped again.
They had so much fun that Craig even forgot to worry about Kenny too much. And when he eventually had to leave, he still believed that Kenny was alright.
