I keep a close watch on this heart of mine

(A/N: Hey there, I don't think you remember my story but that's going to change, cause I'm back in action and intend on finishing this story even if it takes another damn year! Two months later

"Do you think we are all that's left?" I asked as I continued watching the people around us

"What do you mean?" Eric asked and turned to look at me

"Don't you ever wonder what's outside? Over the fence? Away from this place?"

He chuckled and turned his attention in front of him

"I don't need to wonder. I know what's outside. Nothing, absolutely nothing"

"This can't be it, Eric" I breathed out and crossed my arms in front of my chest

It was a sunny day- the people in my old faction would probably be outside, having fun in the sun

"So, being a leader in the best Faction there is and having the most amazing boyfriend isn't enough for Saraphine?"

I chuckled at the sound of his words and turned around to look at him

"Boyfriend, huh?" I asked with a small smirk as he side glanced in my direction

"The most amazing boyfriend," he corrected as his arm went around my waist

He leaned in and placed his lips on my neck, kissing and nibbling at my skin

"We are out in public, you perv!" I turned to look at him with raised eyebrows

"Don't pretend you don't like it, princess" he whispered in my ear

I rolled my eyes and then chuckled

"So, the Choosing ceremony will be over soon. Shouldn't we go to the rooftop and wait for the Initiates?" I asked and earned a low groan from Eric

"Don't be like that." I pulled back to look at his face

"You know, I never understood why I'm always the one that has to welcome those kids in Dauntless,"

"It's because of your kind nature and friendly personality" I tried to keep a straight face but laughed anyway

"Probably because you will scare them into obeying you" I winked and put my arms around his neck

"Do you remember when we first met?" I asked

Eric nodded, putting his arms around my waist

"I remember seeing a girl in a yellow dress and wondering if she had been lost" he said with a chuckle

"Well, you're lucky that I wasn't lost" I said with a laugh and he nodded in agreement

"I am"

I sighed "Try not to scare them a lot, alright?"
