"What did you do?" Eric shouted, taking a step away from me

"You were not the only one lying," I shrugged

He just stood there, getting more anxious every second

He started pacing and muttering things to himself

"You are..." I managed to make out some of the words he was saying

"Yes, divergent" I stated

He stopped and turned to look at me

"Dammit, Sara!" He yelled and turned around, punching the wall behind him

"Now you know everything about me. Why I did so good in the mental part of initiation, why I got first place in the rankings,"

That earned him another angry mutter and a punch on the wall

"How could you keep something like this from me?" He turned to look at me, letting his now bloody hand fall to his side

I let out a dry laugh "Are you joking right now? If I had told you sooner, I'd be in a ditch somewhere along the ruins of the old city. Well, that's probably where I'll end up now, anyway,"

He took a step forward and out of instinct I took one back

"After all of this, you think I would hurt you?"

"I'd be a fool if I didn't. As you've said before, you're a soldier. That's what you're programmed for, trained all your life for,"

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, shaking his head

"Who else knows?" He opened his eyes

"Noone,"

Another head shake

"Who knows?" He repeated

"...Lisa," I muttered and looked at the serum gun in my hand "Don't you need to go get Max or something?"

I looked up, waiting for an answer

Instead of giving me one, he turned his back at me and got out the door, locking it behind him

I slammed my hand on the metal door and shouted after him "Get this over with!" But got no answer

//////////

A few days had passed and nothing apart from Eric's absence happened

Somebody would give me food once a day and when I would try to get answers out of them, they would just ignore me or slam the door to my face

But one day, when I was laying on the chair and counting the dots of blue in the white of the ceiling, the door opened and a familiar face got in, holding something

I sat up and looked at Joyce

She threw the things she was holding in my direction and said "Get up, we're going,"

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at the clothes on my lap

Dauntless uniforms with a blue stripe around the right upper arm

I rolled my eyes "Going where?"

"You know where," she stated and got out the door, leaving it open behind her

"Get dressed, now!" I heard her say

I ran a hand through my hair that hadn't been washed for days and was now full of knots and stood up, stripping off my clothes that I had on since the night I tried to leave

I put on the uniform and walked towards the door

Taking a last look at the room that been my 'home' for two weeks, I put my hand on the door handle and got out, coming face to face with Joyce holding a pair of handcuffs
