13 | Boat Rides

"Come ooonnnn." Ed moaned.

"Give me a minute. I haven't been up for hours like you. I need to get my shoes on." I laughed at how excited Ed was.

"But I wanna go now!" He said in a childish voice as he grabbed my arm and pulled me out the door as I quickly grabbed my bag.

"Wow, your very excited." I laughed. I've never seen him this excited. Never knew a 18 year old could get this excited. It just proves that you can still be a child when your older.

"Well sorreh! I've been waiting to do this since you mentioned it!!!" He pouted at me.

"Put that bottom lip away!" I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Bu-but- bu."

"Don't but me!.... ha... butt." I laughed.

"Sorry mother." He looked at his feet and kicked a stone.

We were walking for a bit towards the beach again as we planed to go on the boat ride we talked about. We both we're looking farther to this, it's going to be a brilliant day with some good craic. I've never properly been on a boat before. It's going to be a great experience with Ed.

We finally got to the beach where Ed left me and ran towards the boat. I laughed to myself as he ran like a little child excited to get a new toy.

"Hey! Wait up for me!!" I shouted after him as I ran.

"Sorry. I'm just a bit excited." He laughed.

Ed walked into a building to confirm everything with the owner. I walked over to the jetty where I found a boating waiting for us. I looked around and saw no one was near by so I threw my bag into the boat then hopped in after. It wasn't a big boat as we didn't have a lot of money. We could only be out on the boat for 1-2 hours because it was too expensive to get more than that.
The heat from the sun was beaming down hitting off my back as the water reflected the trees around. I quickly took a seat on the boat as I looked down into the water seeing my own reflection. My messy hair up in high pony with my glasses on as my eyes were being really tired and lazy today.

"Yo! You ready to go?" Ed said as he jumped onto the boat.

"Hell yea!!" I laughed as Ed took the drivers seat.
"Do you know how to drive this?"

"Yea sure I do. I learnt when I was 15. A guy from my care home taught me when we went on a trip." He smirked.

"Oh that's good. I thought you were going to kill us!" I playfully punched his arm.

"Oh you might!" He smirked at me.

He started the engine and started driving out into the sea. The water around the boat creating waves as we went farther and farther away from land. The peaceful sound of birds singing around us in the forest near by.

I grabbed my phone from my backpack and started playing music very quietly. As Ed stopped the boat in the middle of the water.

"So what we gonna do out here?" I asked looking around.

"Relax. Just sit, talk and of course EAT!" He laughed.

"Eat!? Where the flipping food!!!"

"Over there." Ed pointed over to a bag what I quickly grabbed it and set out food.
We sat there and just talk and laughed. And obviously ate.

"I've got a sleeping suit over this don't think I'm stripping!" I laughed as I took my top off and trousers relieving my black swimming suit with white lines going down the sides.

"Oh that's sad..." Ed teased. "JOKING!" He shouted as I gave him a 'really? Really now' look.

"I wanna go in the water ok? Care to join me?" I asked.

"Yea sure, in a minute."

I nodded in response and jumped into the cold but yet refreshing water. I went down as my feet hit the ground then pushed myself up towards the surface.
I looked up into the boat to see Ed looking down at me smiling.

"Cold? Heh." He smirked.

"Nope. Just refreshing." I put my hands on to the boat as I grabbed Ed's arm and pulled him into the water with me.

"What the hell!" He shouted at me as he resurfaced.

"Your welcome."

He gave me a disproving look then smirked as he splashed water at me. I screamed but then splashed him back.

We went swimming around for awhile until we got tired and just kept jumping in from the boat into the water creating a huge splash.

"CANNON BALL!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs as I tucked my legs up to my chest and jumped right into the water.

"Wow! Watch where your jumping!" Ed said casually as he swam back over to me after nearly flatting him.
He swan underneath me then grabbed my leg to pull him under with him.

We finally decided to stop swimming and get back into the boat where we sat soaking wet with towels over our shoulders keeping us warm.

"What's that?" I asked pointing out a scar on Ed's chest.

"Oh it's nothing." He smiled then covered it with his towel.
But that wasn't nothing. He's voice went weird when I asked him that. But I decided not to push it as I know how it feels.

Omfg. I can't write! I found that quite hard to write. I think it's bc I haven't written in a while. But I have a plot twist that might happen soon but then I think it's too soon so I might skip ahead in time in some chapters and make it happen soon. But I don't know yet so we'll just have to wait and see.
