Craig's POV

I went to school as usual and met up with all my friends. Today was a bit different as my mind was completely distracted about Penny.. I need to find her and see if she's ok.
Yea yea I know I only meet her and know nothing about her or her past but I'm pretty sure that I'm not letting someone give up their life.
She has something to live for but she just needs to see it.

At lunch I went around the school looking for Penny. I couldn't find her. I asked people who were in her class. They said she never came in.

Oh god! What happened to her?

Maybe she just wants space. I know that I'm bringing pretty strange. Like a freaking stranger trying to help her? She might be a bit freak out about me.

Penny's POV

I woke up the next morning with a head ache. I looked around to see the library that I forgot I was in. I smiled to myself remembering I'm away from the people who cause me the most pain.

Maybe this is the life I was looking for?

I stood up from the sofa. My bare feet touched the soft carpet that went between my toes. I grabbed my baby blue blanket and wrapped it around me as I walked around the building.

"Jeez it's freezing." I said to myself as I turned on the lights.
I walked around as I dragged my blanket with me. I was looking at all the books when I noticed something in the corner of my eye.
A bag? I froze as I stared at it.

'Is someone else staying here?" I thought to myself.

It looked new and someone's been using it.

"Who the hell are you!?" I heard a deep voice from behind say.

I stopped everything I was doing and just stood there. Still. My heart was racing. You could probably hear it pounding like mad.

"Hello?" The voice said.

I slowly turned around to see a boy. Maybe two years older than me. He had floppy long blonde hair that looked like it hadn't be watched in awhile. He was really tall and intimidating looking, he was wearing a long green jacket with some ripped jeans and old trainers.

He stared me up and down.

"Umm... I'm sorry. I'll just leave." I said as I ran up to get my stuff.

"No it's fine." He said confused.

He's dark green eyes watched my every movement as I threw everything in my bag.

"Your just a kid?" He said shocked.

"Teen actually and you look like one too." I said sassily.

"I'm actually 18." He smirked.

"Well I'm 16 and I'm leaving now." I threw my bag over my shoulder. I was about to grab my guitar when he put he's hand on it.

"You can stay, you know."

"No thanks. I'll be going."

"No stay." He took my bag and set them down.

"I'm Ed." He held his hand out.

"None of your business." I replied.

"Come on. Y wouldn't you tell me?" His voice went all soft as he stared at me intensely.

"No point, we'll never meet again." I said as I tired getting my bags again.

"Seriously? I know that you ran away. Why else would you be here? On Holiday?" He tilted his head as he did a sweet smile.

"No of course I didn't run away!" I said stubbornly.

"I know what's it like. I ran away. 5 years ago. I started a life here."

5 years!? That's so long! That's what I call running away. I don't know how he survived but somehow he did and he's here in front of me.

I walked away from him but I felt a tight grip on my wrist.

"Please don't say-"

I looked down at my arm where he pulled my sleeve up a bit when he grabbed my wrist. All my scars. My pain was visible to a stranger.

"No!" I shouted in his face.

I got out of his grip and ran. I left my stuff in the library and just ran as far as I could. Away from someone who knew too much. I can't have another person know my secret.

I ran for ages until I got to a lake. It was a small lake at the edge of town. It was quite a quiet place where not a lot of people knew about.

I sat by the lake as my feet was in the cold water. The reference in the lake was beautiful with all the trees surrounding the lake making it an inclose area, the sun beaming down on it well flowers dance with the sighing wind. Then there was me. Staring at myself through the reflection. Tears running down my face and falling into the pure water. My messy hair all over my face hiding my red tomato eyes.

'My guitar!?' I panicked.
'I left it with that stupid man!'
Why did I do that!?

My guitar is the most important thing ever. It was my last birthday present from my dad before he died. Over the years I've decorated it with designs I came up with. It has my name engraved in it. It holds my memories. My dreams. It's the only thing I love now. It means the world to me.

"Penny!? Is that you!?" A voice shouted.

Oh no someone else found me?

I quickly stood up as I was about to run. I don't want anyone to find me!? What don't they understand from running away!

I was about to run when my foot slipped on a wet rock causing me to go back wards into the lake.

That's all I remember then I blacked out. I hit the cold water as a splash went everywhere and I felt my head hit of something hard. Then it went all black. The whole world gone.
