Jen's POV
A few moments later our lips went apart so we could catch our breaths. He rested his forehead on mine and we stood like that, eyes closed, my arms wrapped loosely around his neck and his hands grabbing my waist firmly, for a few more seconds, until I decided to speak.
"What are we doing?" I asked, smiling faintly with evident guilt on my face. I was still adjusting to that feeling he gave me every time we touched.
"I think we are standing in the middle of your living room." he answered with a stupid smile he failed to hold back.
He was such a dork. Another thing I liked about him. Somehow, he never failed to make me smile, even when I was completely unwilling to do so, like it was some kind of challenge to him. He would try all sort of things and wouldn't give up until he had succeeded.
"You know what I mean." I then said and took a deep breath closing my eyes.
"Yes, I do. I just don't know the answer to that yet. All I know is I like it, whatever it is. Now, I should get going or we will both be late for work and I really don't feel like being shouted at today. See you there." he said and left a soft kiss on my lips before he opened the door and left.
I was now alone, still processing everything that had just happened.
He had told me he liked me. Well, he liked what had happened between us, but it's kinda the same thing, isn't it? Had he really been hiding his feelings all this time, just like I kind of did? And now what? We become a thing? It's easier said than done. I surely want this. I want him as well. But how could that be possible? It's not like he is gonna go home, phone his wife, ask for a divorce and come running into my arms. That sounds quite insane.
Gosh, what had I gotten myself into?
-------------------------------
I arrived at set a bit late. He was already there sitting with Lana and Sean, enjoying some coffee. I approached them and we headed together to the van that was taking us to the woods for shooting.
Throughout the day we acted as if nothing was going on, both being very professional, even though I already knew that no one would suspect a thing anyway, because we were all super tired from shooting scenes the previous night. None of us seemed to have gotten any decent sleep in ages. Well, last night's shooting wasn't the only thing to blame for my tiredness, I thought to myself, but shook that thought real quick.
Before I left I texted him to come over to my place once he was done shooting for the day. I don't really know if I did this because I needed to talk to him about the recent events that took place in my house that morning and the night before, or I just desperately needed to have some time alone with him away from prying eyes.
"Why do I have this strange feeling of Déjà vu right now?" is what I got in reply a few seconds later.
That dork.
I smiled at my phone's screen like a smitten teenage girl and went straight home without even stopping by my trailer to get my stuff.
