Jen's POV
His gaze was burning. I stood frozen in spot, not knowing how to react to what he just said. Every possible scenario was running through my head. He noticed Me being nervous and instantly broke eye contact.
"I'm sorry I scared you. It's actually not so big of a deal. I just..." he stuttered, letting go of my hands and standing up from his seat.
I looked up at him. His gaze traveled from my hands that were still rested on the table, back to my eyes. He took my left hand in his.
"Jennifer Marie Morrison, will you do me the honor to dance with me on this quite beautiful former hotel roof garden?" he asked, smiling sweetly.
I was completely taken aback by his statement. He was such a dork!
"Colin. We don't even have music." I said, surprise still evident on my face.
"Actually..." he stated and reached for his phone inside his pocket.
He took it out and practically shoved it in my face, trying to prove me how smart he was. It made me chuckle a bit.
"Ok, fine!" I agreed, standing up as well, still not believing that we were actually gonna dance on the rooftop of a hotel in Atlanta.
He looked at me with a look of satisfaction and searched through his song list, I guessed. He placed the phone on the table when he found what he was looking for and looked back at me again.
"Do you remember the rehearsal for our dance on the show?" he asked smirking.
"Yeah, how could I forget?" I smirked back.
He grabbed my right hand with his left, and my waist with his other.
"It's easier without the hook though." I teased.
He winked at me am pressed the "play" button on his phone.
(You can play the song if you want. I will be using some lyrics along with the storyline, they will be in italics and in between these ••)
•Sick and tired of getting older. I keep getting lost trying to find my way•
"Wow, I've never heard that song before." I admitted as soon as it started.
"Shhh." he ordered me to be quiet as we slowly began shuffling in the empty space of the room.
I followed his order and resumed our slow dance. I was really intrigued by this song. It was not the kind of song he would listen to, but I liked it either way.
•I'm out on my own making my way, trying to be someone that I can be proud of one day•
I didn't know who the singer was, but he definitely had an amazing voice and it fitted perfectly.
At one point, Colin twirled me around in a circle and pressed my body against his chest. I must admit it was one of the hottest things he had ever done.
My heart skipped a beat and I got lost in his eyes. I didn't want to pull away. He didn't either, so we carried on dancing with our foreheads touching and his hands firmly holding my waist. I put my hands around his neck and closed my eyes. I was mentally praying for the song to end soon, so he would let go of me, otherwise I might never would have been able to let go of him.
•I'm out on my own doing it my way, doing it my way•
The song was slowly coming to an end but then he suddenly dipped me backwards.
•Taking the chance, walking away•
When he lifted me back up, his lips where pressed on mine and I was sure I never wanted to let go.
•Breaking the rules, nobody here can tell me what to do•
A/N: So, Colin is "breaking the rules"😏😏
