Chapter 18: I would like nothing more

Colin's POV

A few days had passed since mine and Jennifer's little "argument" on set. Despite that, we weren't still talking that much to one another, so practically nothing had changed between us.

From that day on though, that bloody woman teased me every time she got the chance, even while we were in the middle of filming. Most of the times she was discreet, but I remember this one time she made me forget my lines, if not my own name during a scene.

We were filming the scene where Emma asked Hook to move in with her.

We were siting on a table, just the two of us, and the camera was rolling. She was saying her lines perfectly fine, her right hand smoothly caressing the back of my neck, just as the director had instructed her to.

Her other hand though, had gone a little south and was rubbing my inner thigh. The table was blocking the view from everyone else. I was getting more worked up by the second and she was perfectly aware of that. It took everything in me to concentrate on my lines and not screw up.

When we were finished we were dismissed to our trailers for lunch break. I decided to pay Jennifer a visit and talk to her about what she had done earlier. I really needed to know what her intentions were.

The moment she opened her trailer's door, she snatched me by the collar of my jacket and pulled me inside. Her action caught me completely off guard, giving me no time to react at all. She then proceeded to pin me on the wall and started kissing me with much desire.

I could play along and take her right there, but that wouldn't be fair at all. She deserved a little teasing as well, as payback.

"Whoa, Jennifer, slow down." I said, pushing her chest slightly.

"What is it?" she asked surprised.

It took me a moment to collect my thoughts. Her hands hadn't left my collar and my previous "excitement" hadn't gone away completely. If something, it was now enhanced.

"You can't do that." I answered.

"Why not?" she asked seductively, moving her lips closer to mine.

I hated when she did that. It could make me lose complete control.

"Because it's not fair. We got carried away and had sex a few days ago, but that doesn't mean this can keep happening whenever you want it to." I explained.

"Yeah because you clearly didn't want it to happen. I had to force you." she said sarcastically.

"I didn't mean it that way. I wanted it. But..." I stopped mid sentence.

"But what? It was a one-time thing? Because correct me if I'm wrong, but it was the third time already." she said bitterly.

"Can we just stop that?" I asked.

"Stop what?"

"This. We are either not talking to each other or making out like there is no tomorrow. Nothing in between. We can't go on like that for much longer." I explained.

"And what do you suggest?" she asked, crossing her arms on her chest.

It seemed like this had become a habit of hers lately.

"We can go back to being friends. If you'd like to, I mean." I answered, scratching behind my ear.

I saw her starting to ease up a bit, her arms loosening from her chest.

"Yeah, I would like that." she said and smiled to me.

That was what I had missed the most. That bright smile that could light up the whole world. She might not know that but she used to be the most cheerful person around here. No one could deny that. Somewhere along the way, she had lost that. I was the one to blame. What we had gone through had hurt her more than I thought. It was now my job to help her find herself again. To become the person she used to be.

The person I fell in love with.

I couldn't help but smile as well.

"I should go. See you around." I said and kissed her forehead before exiting her trailer.

I hadn't walked much far when I heard her calling for me.

"Colin, wait." she shouted.

I turned around, startled.

"Maybe we could have lunch together. Like old times." she continued.

Her words put an instant smile on my face.

"I would like nothing more." I said and started walking towards her.
