Colin's POV
"Jen, I don't think it's a good idea." I said, looking down.
I could already feel the blood flowing to my lower region.
"Please. I need you." she pleaded.
I should have denied, but the sincerity in her eyes gave me no choice. She really needed me, so I had to do it. I let go of the handle, walked up to her and embraced her in a hug.
"Not that I'm complaining, but what was that for?" she asked.
I let go of her and looked into her beautiful green eyes.
"You seemed like you needed a hug." I answered and kissed the top of her head.
"Now, take that dress off, wear the t-shirt and make yourself comfortable. I'm going to take a shower. I'll be right back."I continued.
I really needed a cold shower to calm myself down. I got inside and couldn't stop thinking about her. That was not helping at all. I just got her back. I had to keep reminding myself to not cross the line. This would ruin everything. We were friends. Nothing more.
I got out of the shower a few minutes later and got dressed in the bathroom. When I entered the room she was lying on the bed under the blankets. The lights were off and the only thing illuminating the room was the little lamp on my night stand. She patted the spot next to her, inviting me to join her.
I gladly obliged.
We were both lying on our backs, silence filling the room. It was not awkward though. It was quite comfortable. Every now and then I would look her way to see if she had fallen asleep. Her eyes were constantly fixed on the ceiling. Her body hadn't moved even an inch.
Our blissful moment was interrupted by my phone. I got up and went to get it. It was Josh. It then hit me that I hadn't told anyone I was leaving the restaurant, so they were probably worried. I didn't feel like talking, so I just ignored his call and sent him a message letting him know that I was with Jen and we were both ok.
I then put it on silent and placed it on the nightstand before lying on the bed again. This time Jen was looking at me. I smiled at her and turned on my side. I reached for her hand under the blankets and intertwined my fingers with hers.
She abruptly turned her gaze to the ceiling again, without flinching away from my touch.
"Do you want to know why I was crying when you found me?" she asked, without turning her head to look at me.
Her voice came out so low, almost like a whisper.
"Yes." I answered calmly.
"I was crying because I was about to do a big mistake." she sighed.
"Hey, it's ok. You can tell me." I reassured her, squeezing her hand gently.
She turned to look at me and smiled faintly. Her smile was contagious, so I couldn't help but smile as well.
"Me and Geoff...We..." she tried to explain.
She took a deep breath, buying herself more time to find the right words, I assumed.
"We had a few glasses of wine and then we sort of got carried away." she blurred out and put her free hand over her face in embarrassment.
By hearing that, my expression changed immediately. I never liked the guy and I liked him even less knowing that he took advantage of Jennifer.
"Did he hurt you? Did he do something you didn't want him to? Do you want me to go kick his ass? I swear, if he..." I said through gritted teeth but was interrupted by Jen's hand covering my mouth.
"Hey calm down, it's ok. I already told you, he didn't hurt me. He didn't do anything because nothing happened." she explained, removing her hand.
I raised an eyebrow. I got confused.
"Really?" I asked in disbelief.
"Well, actually we got involved in a pretty hot make out session before he carried me to..." she began but that was the last thing I wanted to hear about.
"Whoa whoa Jen, too much information." I interrupted her.
She giggled.
"Let me finish, ok? When things got heated, I realized what I was about to do. I couldn't do it so I stopped him and just stormed out of his house, leaving my keys there in the process. I was really stressed out." she explained.
I felt so relieved at that moment, but I still had so many questions.
"That doesn't explain why you were crying, you know, but I think I get it. You saw his little man down there and..."
"Hey!" she complained, nudging me on the ribs.
"Ok ok. If that's not the case, then you have some explaining to do." I said.
Her expression became serious. She untangled her fingers from mine and rested her hands on her chest.
"I was crying because I realized I was being stupid." she said avoiding my gaze.
I didn't say anything. I was waiting for her to go on. After a while, she turned to look at me.
"I have a confession to make. I heard about you and Karen leaving set together the other day and I got jealous. That's why I did all this." she admitted.
A smirk instantly appeared on my face.
"But then I realized I didn't have the right to be jealous and act like that. You can be with whoever you want to." she continued.
"Yeah, that last one is true. But me and Karen? I don't know what you were told, but there is nothing going on." I reassured her.
She looked deeply into my eyes and nodded.
"Can I make a second confession?" she asked with her eyes glistening from the tears that were beginning to form.
A/N: So, in this chapter I pretty much explained the whole Colin-Karen Jen-Geoff mess. I just realized I don't actually know if Geoff even lives in Vancouver in real life, but let's just pretend he does, ok?🙈
