Chapter 24: You eat like a child

Jen's POV

The next morning I woke up by the sun peeking through the blinds. I rubbed my eyes in an attempt to open them, but that was not the best idea, because my head was killing me and the light was only making it worse. When I was finally able to partly open my eyes, I realized where I was. My eyes examined the room thoroughly.

My gaze traveled to my dress that was laying on a chair across from the bed. I looked down under the sheets and I noticed I was wearing one of his t-shirts. A black t-shirt with the members of "The enemies" printed on it. I silently chuckled to myself.

Last night was still a haze, but I could recall bits and pieces. I turned to look at Colin who was still asleep on my side. He looked so peaceful. His hair was ruffled and both his arms were rested on his chest. The ring on his finger was reflecting the sunlight.

I carefully got up and tiptoed to the door, grabbing my dress on my way.

"Are you going to leave without even saying goodbye first?" he asked.

I didn't expect him to be awake and his quite loud voice made me jump out of my skin.

"I didn't wanna wake you up." I said, turning to look at him.

He covered his face with his hands, trying to rub the sleep from his eyes. I walked back to the bed and sat on the side.

"Hey, I'm going to take a shower and then we can have some breakfast together. Does that sound good?" I asked, brushing some strands of hair from his forehead.

"Yes. Perfect." he replied in his sleepy voice.

I shot him a smile and headed to the bathroom.

When I was done dressing, I joined him in the kitchen. He had prepared two bowls of Coco Pops with milk. He looked at me with puppy eyes when he saw the puzzled look on my face.

"Um, I'm really sorry but that's all I had." he apologized.

"You eat like a child!" I said, chuckling and we proceeded to sit on the kitchen table.

When we finished eating he offered to drive me to Geoff's to retrieve my car and purse and I gladly accepted.

From the moment I woke up there was this one thing rattling around in my head so I decided to just go on and ask him as soon as we got in the car.

"Hey, I know this may sound weird, but...did we...you know...last night?" I asked hesitantly.

He looked at me with the biggest grin on his face. That can't be good.

"Oh, yeah we totally did." he said.

"Seriously?" I asked nervously.

"You don't remember? It was so hot! It's ok though, because I have it on tape so you can watch it when we get back." he replied.

"YOU WHAT??" I asked, shouting in shock.

At that moment he started laughing uncontrollably. Was this some kind of joke to him? I was so furious I could kill him at that very moment.

"You should see the look on your face." he said still struggling to keep himself from laughing.

"Colin, tell me you didn't do that." I whined loudly.

"Relax. Of course I didn't. As a matter of fact, we didn't even get to business. You didn't get any last night, Morrison." he teased.

"You moron! You almost gave me a heart attack." I said, punching his chest repeatedly.

"Sorry?" he asked, looking at me with the most adorable face.

"Start driving. When we're back, we're gonna have a big talk you and me." I said, trying to play strict.

He smiled at me and started the car.

A/N: Guess who's back?🙈 So, the original plan was to do a time-jump but that will be done later. I had forgotten to add some stuff so I needed to put them in here. The next chapter is going to be the link between this and the atv (Atlanta fest)😏 AKA the time-jump and after that things might get a little interesting.

This chapter is small and so was the previous one, but I will try to update again soon.
