"Yo, I'm open." I was wide open and towards our goal. The goalie from the other school was to busy paying attention to my teammate, Avery. Avery kicked the ball towards my direction.

"Robinson! Score!" My coach yelled at me. I kicked the ball into the goal. Game over. We won 5-4. My teammates lifted me up and chanted my name. Yup, Nolan Robinson, UCLA's newest soccer star.

"Alright guys put me down." I went into our locker room and took a shower. After I was clean, I put on some fresh sweats, a tee shirt, and some addias slides. As soon I walked out of the locker room, I was bombarded with cameras from the school's media center and reporters from various news stations.

"Nolan, you're only a freshman. How does it feel to be UCLA's newest soccer star?" One reporter asked.

"How often do you train?"

"When did you start playing soccer?"

"Move the fuck out of the way." I know that voice. I knew they would come. I saw a whole path was created for my very pregnant mother.

"Jaylah over here." One reporter said. Mom held her hand up and dismissed the reporter. Damn.

"Boy I thought I told you to stop dying your hair." She ran her hand through my platinum blonde locks. I shrugged my shoulders. "You're gonna end up bald headed."

"Jay, leave my son alone." Dad finally opened his mouth.

Over the years, Dad got married to mom right after she graduated from college. Dad retired from selling drugs and became a model. Mom also became a talk show host on ABC and talks shit on celebs like she dreamed. I stayed in school because my dad wanted me to have a bright future. And I haven't heard from Riley since I was four. And every now and again, I still have wet dreams about my step mother. Besides that shit, life is great.

"Nolan!" My ten year old sister, Christina, ran into my arms.

"Hey Chrissy." I picked her up and gave her a bear hug.

"I saw you score today."

"You did? Did I look good?"

"No. You're still ugly bro." She gagged a little bit. Damn. My mom laughed. I handed her demon back. This was my mother's child.

"Take her back." I rolled my eyes. Chrissy stood behind my mom while sticking her tongue at me.

"We're gonna head out soon Kid." My dad said. He dapped me up.
