27: Amusement Park

Leah's Point of View

Nakarinig ako ng katok mula sa pinto. Sinundan ito ng boses ni mom, "Leah, Clark is waiting for you downstairs. Hurry up."

"Hai, ukasan!"

I took one last look of myself on the mirror. Simple lang ang suot ko: ripped jeans, white sleeveless tank top, black leather jacket at Adidas Superstar. I have no make up on. Nag-face powder lang ako at lip balm. Perfume–nah.

Kinuha ko na ang cellphone ko at ATM card. Binulsa ko lang iyon at lumabas na ng kwarto. Nakita ko si Clark na nakaupo sa sofa. Bumaba ako at nilapitan siya.

Shet, ang pogi niya. Nakasuot siya ng leather jacket at white shirt.

"You ready?" tanong niya.

I beamed at him and nodded. He smiled back as he held out his hand, which I accepted with glee. We walk to his car with our hands locked. He opend the door for me and walk around to get in.

"Can I play music?" I asked.

He glanced at me and spoke, "Sure. Do as you please."

I connected my phone to the music player. I look up my playlist. Hmm. What song should I play?

Nag-scan ako ng magandang song. Hanggang sa huminto ang tingin ko sa One Call Away ni Charlie Puth. This will do. Pinlay ko ang kanta.

Nakiki-lip sing ako. Ang ganda kasi ng kanta eh. Nadadala ako. Saka parang ang sentimental lang ng kanta sa akin.

This time nakikikanta na din si Clark. Pakshet. Ang ganda ng boses niya. Oo nga pala, bokalista siya.

He glanced at me and with that quick glance, our eyes got locked. He beamed at me.

He stopped as soon as I called him.
